Dressed With A Handful Of Nutmeg!

This entry was posted in Uncategorized.

I have bought clothes from Nutmeg before, they sell them in Kiddicare which I love and Florence has this amazing denim dress I bought her before Christmas which cost about £6 and she wear loads! It’s great because it’s soft and pretty but it washes super well! I can’t believe how inexpensive it was either because there’s so many little details to it that I would have thought would make it costly but actually, like all Nutmeg clothes it seems, it was incredibly good value and I feel like I got way more than I paid for!

It was only at Christmas time that I was told the Nutmeg range is also sold in Morrisons! I didn’t rally know they did clothes at all but they absolutely do and knowing what good value and quality the Nutmeg range is I’m not at all surprised that Morrisons, who I have always found to be very fairly priced, are the owners of the brand! A their recent Spring/Summer show I got a taste of some of the ranges and I liked very much what I saw. Eclectic, bohemian and practical all in one for girls and fun, funky and hardy was how I saw the boys clothes. Absolutely up my street so when asked if we’d like to do a little photo spread with some of their clothes it was a big yep please from me!

Take a look at what we chose to review and see if you like these pieces as much as us!

Florence chose this pink stripe jumper (£7) and the funky spot and stripe leggings (£3) combo herself and was super thrilled with them! I like them because the leggings, like other Nutmeg ones we have, fit her round the waist (she is very slim and usually length and waists don’t tally up for her but Nutmeg do) and the jumper is something I would wear myself. A little bit retro and a little bit bang on trend for me! The material is light and breezy, perfect for our summers where a breeze is almost certainly there! Little details like the buttons on the side make it even more attractive!

Florence helped me choose this Lion Applique Top (£4) because we know Jimmy LOVES to roar like a lion, or a lywin as he calls them, and we were bang on because he thinks it’s great! With the long sleeves it’s perfect for a cooler day and the detailing is fab! The Brown Chinos (£6) are fab and will last for ages as they’re super thick material! He got the knees wet and dirty so many times but they cleaned up beautifully!

The Baseball Boot T Shirt comes in a pack of two with a stripey pocketed one (£5)! Lovely and soft and for a fiver I don’t think that can be beaten, what value! Chinos as before.

Another little Florence choice and I absolutely love it too! The woven embroidered blouse (£6) is full of detailing with a gorgeous broderie anglaise hem and pretty embroiderie. This blouse could be worn for a special occasion or like us, just in the park on a sunny day! LOVE it!

The stripe bright polo (£TBC) is adorable and suits Jimmy superbly! I love the pocket and it makes him look like a mini version of his Daddy as this is so something Daddy would wear!

I’m impressed with the materials which are soft, durable, wash well and feel thick and substantial and I’m even more impressed with the level of detailing. Jimmy’s trousers have tightening elastic either side which I always think is a massive bonus and the applique and embroidery suggests prices should be way higher than they are! Bargains with beauty is what I have decided the Nutmeg range of clothes are!
