Chicco A Go Go 2013!

This entry was posted in Uncategorized.

Gosh we had a lovely time trying out the new 2013 range for Chicco this morning. Sampling all the new products and we had to literally drag ourselves away as we were enjoying it so much! Not to mention Brendon Cole and his heavily pregnant wife turning up which made us want to stay even longer! Florence and I actually had a little chat with Brendan about how much we like the dancing but I was too shy to ask for a picture… Not like me I know but he’s actually quite gorgeous in real life (as is his wife despite being in the latter stages of pregnancy) and I was a little bit star struck. They look like a couple with good taste so no wonder they were browsing the latest range by Chicco for their little bundle! I wonder if they liked the same things as us? There was so much in the range that we liked that it’s hard to pick out just a couple of bits as our favourites so I’ve made a top ten instead! (And it could have been waaaaay longer if I’m honest!

#10) The Smart Phone (3m+) Florence wouldn’t leave without this! If they hadn’t kindly given it to her I think she would have tried to stow it away! It’s a baby toy clearly but Florence isn’t having any of that and chattered away on it all the way home. It’s really gentle and not very loud which is perfect for me and perfect for a really tiny one like Jimmy (IF he ever manages to get his paws on it! Florence saw him with it and ran across the room to tell him it’s hers – I caught this on camera as you can see)! It’s got a light up display and three buttons to press as well as realistic sound effects and a voice that says ‘Hello’! It’s really easy for little hands to clasp as well… Totally love this!

#9) The Rainbow Cube (0m+) I’ve been looking for something which projects shapes on the ceiling for Jimmy. He’s finding it hard to go back in his cot since he was ill so I think something like this might entice him. This one is lovely and has 3 different patterns to project in 7 different colours. They say it’s good for colour therapy. I think it’ll be lovely and soothing with its gentle music and projections and it will make a nice night-light too!

#8) Oasys 2-3 FixPlus Car Seat (3yrs+) What I especially like about this car seat is the fact that you can change it’s width and height with your growing child but even better than that is that just because they get taller they don’t have to get any fatter! Both adjustments can be made independently. perfect for a little’n’ like Florence whose as skinny as can be but still grows upwards! Definitely one to look into more! I had no idea Chicco did car seats!

#7) Polly Magic High Chair (0m+) Great idea! This highchair is suitable from birth which I think is fab cause new babies like to be in on the action too but because of its adjustable height it can be mid height or even low to the ground and with its toy bar it kind of eliminates the need for a bouncer? At least 3 different uses for this highchair – great space saver. I was most impressed with how slim it folds down to, you wouldn’t think it when up but it’s very slim when folded!

#6) Goodnight Moon (0m+) This is a lovely little toy to hang on the cot with lights and gentle music. How sweet to have a little character sitting on a moon to look at!

#5) (In joint 5th place) Tummy Pad and Play Pad (0m+) Lovely colourful play gyms which Jimmy was most impressed with. The feature I liked most is the pillow which they can recline on or use as a sitting aid!

#4) Talking Kitchen (12m+) This is another baby toy but Florence was entranced which leads me to think it will have a great longevity and be very good value for money. She also liked the ‘Talking Carpenter’ which is the ‘boys’ equivalent but cooking and kitchens are her fave at the moment so she loved this. With buttons and opening doors I can see just why babies will love it too! (It’s also bilingual and speaks French – Tres Bien)!

#3 Chicco Mode Booster Seat (6m+) I’ve been thinking about a booster seat for Florence for a while now as she loves sitting on one at her Grandparents house and I think they’re really good for weaning too if they have a tray like this one. Looks like it’s very cleverly made. Will have to think about getting 2!

#2 Liteway Plus (0m+) Ok, so this was my favourite of the day! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE my Chicco Liteway and use it for trips and holidays. Read my review here. This new version comes as a travel system WITH a car seat (not as an extra to buy). I think that makes it even better! I really struggle working out what to do when travelling about car seats and this eliminates that worry! A really great buggy with a great new twist!

#1 Twist Chair (12m+) And this was Florence’s favourite of the day so I had to make it number 1! She loved this small chair which turns into an armchair then a chaise longue. She was even demonstrating its uses to the other toddlers she loved it so much! She lay down on it and said, ‘now I just need a television!’. I think it’d be a great solution to a small friend having a sleepover as well and could easily be a put up bed for a night!

We really enjoyed finding out about these new products and hope you’ve liked our ten toppest of the top for us!
