Usborne’s Travel Snap!

This entry was posted in Uncategorized.

Holidays for Jonny and I in the past have always included games of cards. We don’t play any other time really but when on holiday we, like a little old couple, have always settled down with a drink and a few hands of ‘Knock Out Whist’ or ‘Sevens’ (the only card games we know) of a holiday evening! That was before we had children of course, they don’t seem keen to sit still quietly sipping a drink while they’re parents relax for some reason? We do still ALWAYS pack them but very rarely play – a few hands at best!

Now however and Florence is coming at an age where she LOVES to play games and although she’s not old enough for a full round of ‘Knock Out Whist’ yet, games like ‘Snap’ and ‘Happy Families’ are just up her street. Ok, so she’s not really able to cope with an adult deck of cards but something specially designed for children is perfect! Easy to pack, easy to play and LOTS of fun!

We like ‘Travel Snap‘ by Usborne which is a deck of cards not just easy to travel with but with a travel theme for the pictures. Famous landmarks from around the Globe such as the Great Wall of China, the Pyramids of Giza, Big Ben, the Statue of Liberty and the Taj Mahal are all depicted on the card faces to be ‘snapped’ and on the back, a map of the world with pin points as to where each landmark lives! Both educational and fun! I like the fact that the colourful pictures are cartoon like in a non ‘bubbly’ way and I love the fact that they are slightly bigger than regular cards – much easier for Florence to cope with! Easy to hold, easy to pack away and all stored in a neat, slim box! What a good game!

I have not been paid to write this post but I was sent the game for the purpose of review.
