Sassy Baby - Catch & Count Net!

I’m going to be writing quite a bit about Sassy bath toys over the next couple of weeks as we’ve been lucky enough to have been sent a few of them to test. A couple of days ago I wrote about the Water and Grow Flower which Florence thought was fantastic and I’m sure if Jimmy’s ever allowed to get his mitts on it, he’ll enjoy it too! Last night we tested out the Catch & Count Net suitable from 6 months and again we had a super fun and successful bath time with both children!

Play is such a big part of life as a child and finding products to assist and encourage learning while still being fun and entertaining is so important. I also don’t like to always be too prescriptive and try to encourage the children to run with their imaginations. Just because something is intended for one thing it doesn’t mean it cant be turned into something else in their imaginations as creative play is such a joy as a child. Bath time play is very important too I think. Quick dips with a purpose to wash and go can come as a grown up; for a child, to use water as a material in their play can be very exciting and ignite new games, sensations and fun! This is why bath time in our house is the only ‘routine’ we have. I don’t have a set time or ritual for bed or anything else really but we always have a bath after tea (whenever that may occur) and splashing about together is always a fun end (or near end) to their day.

Often they can just have a bowl and a wooden spoon and they get much enjoyment from that but most of the time we play with our bath toys and the Catch & Count Net is one of the best ones we’ve got right now.

Three differently numbered and coloured fish which have scooped out tummies and a net to catch them in! Each fish has his number written inside his scooped out tummy and a corresponding amount of holes for water to rush through when scooped up! Bright and fun with contrasting coloured fins and lovely eyes to give them sweet faces. The fish alone are lovely to play with and easy to hold!

And comes with them is a net to go fishing for your fish with! In typical Sassy black and white, this too feels easy to hold and as well as catching fish it can be used to catch anything else in the bath too, even little brothers! The fish can store inside the net until next time when play is over!
