Yes! The Little Bird obsession is back and I am still JUST as much fond of this seasons’s collection as I was with Spring/Summer. It’s like Jools Oliver can do no retro wrong in my eyes!
I loved it at my first sneaky peak in July and I still love it now!
Jimmy was sent the Rainbow Stipe Gilet to try for size and I think you’ll just HAVE to agree! He looks darn gorgeous in it! (He looks darn gorgeous anyway so I like to think they’re a good match for each other)!
What I love about the whole collection, not just this one but always, is that it really does have that retro feel. Children look like children in this range and that’s what I like. There’s plenty of time to look like grown ups and never an excuse to be dressed up like a mini adult! Jools knows this and I spoke with her about it at the Autumn/Winter preview. Yes, I absolutely WAS lucky enough to meet her and yes, she is just as lovely as you would imagine! I’ve only ever spoken to two ‘celebrities’ that I’ve thought YES! I like you instantly and Jools is one of them (Emma Bunton was the other). She’s down to earth, a true earth mamma and it shows in her designs which harp back to my (and her’s I presume) childhood!
The other fab thing about the collection is that most of the items can be unisex and I could easily put Florence in this gilet too! I love it! It has the signature rainbow design on the front and with it’s zip plus poppers is a fab design for a child!
It’s comfortable to wear, padded for warmth and wipe clean material. Pockets which can actually hold something (probably conkers and stones) tip off the appearance beautifully and even though this is aged 18-24 months I can see it lasting us at least two winters. It’s a little big on him this year and may be snugger next but I really think it will still fit – excellent value!
Great for days when you need warmth but a full coat isn’t necessary – oh we have so may of those days in this country don’t we! Looks super cool undone too don’t you think!
