Weebles Wobble But They Don’t Fall Down!

This entry was posted in Uncategorized.

I used to love Weebles when I was little! Do you remember them? They were the little egg shaped figures and as the advert said, they wobbled but they didn’t fall down!

They kind of went off the radar for a few years and I’m not sure why because I always had loads of fun with mine! I had quite a few and a lovely red fire engine and green car for them to travel and wobble about in!

A couple of years ago I heard they were bringing out new Weebles and I just had to get some of the egg shaped characters for Florence! It was Easter time and as well as hunting for chocolate eggs she found a few of the new Weebles to pop in her Easter basket! They were really quite different to my old ones! About double the size in fact and super heavy! I didn’t like them as much I have to admit but Florence thought they were great and was very pleased indeed!

One of my retro Weebles next to one of Florence’s newer ones! Quite a difference as you can see!

I saw on television recently that Peppa Pig and her pals are being turned into a series of Weebles toys and because Florence has always been such a fan and has passed her love of the cartoon on to Jimmy, my Mum and I decided they would be an excellent addition to the toy box! We saw an advert over Christmas and noted that the new Peppa Pig Weebles looked smaller than the most recent version of the regular Weebles which we also thought would be a good aspect to the toy! But mainly we just thought they looked really cute!

When asked if I would like to review the Peppa Pig Weebles Pull-Along Wobbly Train, I of course said YES PLEASE!

The Peppa Pig Weebles Pull-Along Wobbly Train!

Being a train and Jimmy was instantly interested. The train comes with two carriages which can be clipped on to each other with either one being at the front and it’s very easy to pull or push along with a Weeble inside! The train comes with one Weeble, a Peppa Pig character with a love heart on her tummy and she is just delightful. She absolutely does wobble but certainly doesn’t fall down!

Both children were very interested in playing with the train and incorporated it with other little figures, trucks and characters they have. Florence did immediately point out that it’s a bit of a shame you only get one Weeble and it would be much more fun with one for each seat on the train – which would be three! (You can buy more figures for £4.99 – most of Peppa’s friends and George are available.)

Of course you can collect the other sets which come with characters too; there is a Wind and Wobbly Playhouse which comes with another Peppa Pig Weeble, this time with a muddy puddle on her front or a Push Along Wobbly Car which again comes with a Peppa Pig Weeble and on this version her dress is plain.

We really like the train, it’s good quality, does what it’s supposed to do and is lots of fun! The Peppa Pig Weeble is hilarious and we all really like her! My only quibble would be that it’s less fun with only one character to play with so you really need to buy at least two more and I personally find it a bit annoying that each set comes with a Peppa Pig. If you wanted to collect all three you’d end up with three Peppa Pigs albeit ones with different things on their dresses. I can see why Peppa comes with the sets because the show is called Peppa Pig but I half think it might be better for them to come with a different character each and Peppa be available to buy separately so that you won’t double up!

It’s really just a minor quibble and as you can see the children still thought it was a brilliant play! Hope you enjoy the video demonstration!

I’m really pleased Weebles are still going as they’re such a fun toy and the fact that you can now buy these Peppa Pig versions is brilliant! What pre-schooler isn’t into Peppa? They’re very good value for the money and appeal to both boys and girls as does the show!

I was sent the Peppa Pig Weebles Pull-Along Wobbly Train for the purpose of an honest review.

Emmy and Harry are currently enjoying the peppa weeble house and we agree more characters would be nice but it is great fun.
