February Half Term Fun!

This entry was posted in Uncategorized.

It’s here! Half Term! I simply love the holidays and having Florence home from nursery the whole week. I know some parents dread having the children off school but for me it’s honestly and truthfully the same feeling as when I was at school myself and got a break – it means one thing! FUN!

We have loads lined up… I do like a chocka block schedule!

On Monday we are going to my friend Denise’s for lunch with other Mummy pals. She’s one of the first friend’s I met after having Florence and even though she’s moved to the other side of London we still see each other as often as we can. I’m so excited that tomorrow will be one of those occasions!

Tuesday we will go out and about in London. I love all the FREE things to do and even though we do it all the time we can never get enough of the Science Museum and the Princess Diana Playground! They’re super close to each other and we don’t like to do one without the other! For this day I am planning on going to the Natural History Museum too because it’s just next door!

Science Museum Post

On one of our many recent trips to the Science Museum!

It’s Barbie Mermaid fun for us on Wednesday when we hit Virgin active for a FREE swimming lesson for Florence! I told her she would be attending a Mermaid class and that it was also about Barbies and she said ‘But I haven’t got a tail’? Wonder how they’ll get round that one? Sounds wonderful though doesn’t it. Find out if your local Virgin Active is holding the same FREE class near you on their website and hurry up and book before all the slots go! After swimming we’re off to see The Cat In The Hat by Dr Seuss at the Greenwich Theatre! This is super exciting don’t you think!

Thursday and more theatre for us as we head on down to the Lyric Hammersmith for their production of The Little Red Hen! Animal puppets, sing-along songs and mad-cap somic routines! I LOVE children’s laughter and am expecting lots to hear here! Oooh we can’t wait. The last thing we saw here was Father Christmas and it was ACE so we have high expectations!

Friday means it’s Baby Show time! We’re going with our lovely friends at Mothercare and hopefully will get to see a few other people we know! I have a very good friend who is pregnant so I’m on the look out for things for her and I’m taking with me my darling pal who just had a baby at 30 weeks! He’s fighting fit now and even though he’s teeny tiny (this week is the week he was SUPPOSED to be born), he’s a real character and SO beautiful! I can’t wait to go round the show with her and him!

Saturday will be, as long as it’s still showing, the day we go to sing-along Frozen at the cinema near our house! Florence is Frozen obsessed and sings the songs constantly! She’s been asking to see it at the cinema again and a sing-along version sounds so much fun don’t you think?!

And the Sunday, the very last day of the holidays and it has to be the pièce de résistance of half term! Of course it has to be a visit to our favourite farm, Willows! We LOVE Willows SO much, we go again and again and again and now… This week… Sees the start of lambing time!

Willow Farm Village just know how to entertain and with soft play, fair ground rides, outdoor play equipment, shows, demonstrations, seasonal activities and of course the animals, it’s just a wonderful thing to do with children. They change all the time and no visit is ever the same but yet it is always what you want it to be.

At Christmas there is an amazing Santa’s Grotto, at Easter they have egg hunts and go all out for the Easter Bunny, Halloween means you can pick your own pumpkin and there’s loads more in between but right now… As I mentioned, the lambs are being born!

February Frolics means fleecy arts and crafts, bottle feeding the lambs, meet the shepherd and SO much more! This is going to be one brilliant half term treat and I am so super looking forward to it!

So… What are you up to over this half term?
