Great Explorations Twinkle Stars!

Posted in Uncategorized

We received a lovely package over the weekend containing lots and lots of those little stars you stick on the ceiling which then glow in the dark. We’ve had some in the past but over time they lost their glow so it was lovely to have some new ones and even better that this time, they are also glittery making them very appealing and twinkly even when it’s not dark! What’s more, this brand, Great Explorations by University Games, promises […]

Halloween At Aldi!

Posted in Uncategorized

We go in for Halloween in our house. I know traditionally it’s a bit of an American holiday and us boring Brits like to shut our curtains and pretend we’re not in to the trick or treaters but we love it and Florence has always had such fun at this time of year. We always do a ‘Halloween hunt’ like an Easter Egg hunt and play games like Apple Bobbing while (of course) dressed up in our Halloween costumes! I […]

Halloween In Belfast!

Posted in Uncategorized

I’ve travelled to a lot of different countries and have soaked up culture all over the place. I was always very lucky as a child that my parents took me on lots of trips and holidays and when I got to put pins in a map at a party recently, to show where in the world I’d been, I felt very proud to have lots of places covered. The thing is however, it showed me that I haven’t really visited […]

A Plum Playhouse Adventure!

Posted in Uncategorized

A while back I wrote about being a Plum ambassador. It’s a most excellent role as we get to play with lots of toys and play equipment with a view to letting you know what we think. Not exactly a hardship I have to tell you! We even went to visit the Plum HQ and see the whole range in all it’s glory, up and ready for the children to have a play on. It was like some sort of […]

So Tired!

Posted in Uncategorized

This week Jimmy has been an utter nightmare when it comes to sleep! I thought we’d turned a corner a while back, I really did! He was sleeping well and going to bed easily but now! Oh NOW! He is like a maniac in the evenings and races around as if he’s fired up on something destroying everything in his wake. A few nights ago he eventually fell asleep standing up on the sofa having previously been sitting on my […]

Peppa Pig Tea – Friday Night Treat Tea!

Posted in Uncategorized

It was bound to happen sooner or later that one of the children would choose Peppa Pig as the theme for our Friday Night Treat Tea. This week it happened and I had the task of trying to make some fun Pappa Pig food for Florence, Jimmy and two of their friends. This is how we got on! Next week’s theme may very well be Tinkerbell but nothing is set in stone yet. See you then!

Christmas Smells Lovely With The Perfume Shop!

Posted in Uncategorized

Just the other day I realised that my DKNY Be Delicious perfume is running out and when I checked my other scents it was a little annoying to find that they too were on the way out. I was always told you should never buy yourself perfume you see but with my birthday having just been in the summer, my anniversary (as if he’d remember in enough time to buy a present anyway) last month and Christmas still a couple […]

WIN A VVIP Ticket For BeWILDerwod This Half term!

Posted in Uncategorized

If you’ve not yet ‘swung out’ in the woods of BeWILDerwood then you’re missing out on one of the best day’s out this country has to offer! We love it any time of year but just before the end of season and to celebrate Halloween is one of our most favourite times to visit and share with the Boggles and Twiggles (whose story books the wooded tree house adventure park is based on) a fun day of zip wires, slides, den building, boat […]

Fisher Price City Skyway!

Posted in Uncategorized

Jimmy likes cars. And wheels. And structures which are imposing. He likes levers, cranes and buttons quite a bit too… One of his favourite toys in the world is his ‘gadage’ (his Fisher Price Garage which we reviewed here. I prefer the retro version but Jimmy thinks his modern garage is brilliant) and when I showed him the box of the Fisher Price City Skyway, the latest toddler toy we have been sent to review for him, his eyes positively […]

Classic Tiny Tiny Tears Interactive Review And Give Away!

Posted in Uncategorized

I had a Tiny Tears when I was little and she was one of my absolute favourite dolls. I think I actually got her when I was quite old for baby dolls by my friend’s standards, maybe 7 or 8, but then I went on to play with them until I was about 12 (I always wanted to be pushing a baby in a buggy so stretched it out for as long as possible) so she definitely got some love. […]
