A Frozen Birthday Party!

This entry was posted in Uncategorized.

Florence turned five on New Year’s Eve and ten days before her actual birthday we held a ‘Frozen’ birthday ball for her as her party (she chose the theme and Disney’s Frozen was her absolute top choice – of course)! It’s a party that’s been a long time in the planning with many, many Google searches, Amazon and ebay purchases and plenty of Pinterest surfing for ‘Frozen’ themed party ideas!

In the end we pulled it off I think and Florence was utterly, utterly thrilled. She and quite a few of her friends dressed up as Elsa, I even bought an adult Anna costume for myself (£9 WITH delivery from China would you believe?) and we had lots of fun with party food, crafty snowflake making and a whole heap of dancing! There were bubbles for the grown-ups which made us all smile a bit more I think and my Mum excelled herself with the cake!

Here’s a little taster of Florence’s Frozen party – we enjoyed it, hope you do too!

I think they came out really well and everyone seemed pleased with them!

I bought loads of things from Amazon, ebay, Poundland and Lakeland to make the decorations and food just as I wanted it! One of my best buys was the snowflake charms from ebay which cost pennies and I used the on the invites and around the glasses for the grown ups!

I was pleased with how the hall looked and I added some fake snow for the doorstep which I picked up in Poundland!
I was pleased with how the hall looked and added glistening gems to every table which again were bought on line for next to nothing. I added some fake snow to the doorstep which I picked up in Poundland along with some really great snowflake cups for the children!

Every item on the children's food table had a picture frame bought in Ikea with a line from the film like 'Do you wanna build a snowman' or 'We finish each others sandwiches'!

To go with the snowy mountain cake my Mum also made little Olaf cup cakes and snowflake ones using a snowflake cutter set from Lakeland!

And then it was time to say goodbye with some goodie bags. I made cookies and decorated them with rice paper Frozen decorations and added some Frozen goodies from Poundland to go in the bags which my Mum decorated with home made rosettes made from duck tape which you can buy in Hobby Craft. Thanks for the idea Hobby Craft, I totally pinched it from their Christmas press day!
