Doc McStuffins never gets tired of in our house. Florence was hooked from the minute she saw it (good old Disney magic again) and Jimmy likes it too now! I have to admit the songs are catchy and enough to keep even me entertained with them. It’s yet another Disney CD I don’t mind being played in the car while my husband shrinks with ‘not this again’! Still, 3 against 1 and you know who wins!
Florence has had quite a few Doc McStuffins toys over this past year from the really inexpensive to now, something quite pricey. She loves it all, just as her friends do and why not? But are all the toys worth it?
Well, everything we have played with has very much been good value for money and provided lots of entertainment so I’m going to say yes… I think they are worth the money. This new toy included!
We’ve been sent the Doc McStuffins ‘Doc Is In Clinic Playhouse‘ by Flair at £49.99 and both Florence and Jimmy have been putting it to the test!
As a parent the thing I first noticed was that it was packed really well. No fiddly cords to cut, untie or use a crow bar on to un weld them from the box and everything fitted together with a click while the patients bed (which has sounds) came complete with batteries.
It DID annoy me the amount of stickers that needed to be put on it. I cant bear having to put stickers on toys because firstly the children always want to help, they’re fiddly and you inevitably end up putting at least one on wonky (absolutely did that here and the poster of animals down stairs in our house is not even remotely level)! I remember my Mum putting the stickered mirror on my My Little Pony Grooming Parlour and getting a massive bubble in the middle and I find it a shame that 30 years later we are still having to stick our own stickers on toys which will then get ripped off and look ghastly anyway… I suppose it must make things cheaper…
Stickers isn’t my ideal but the house clicked together very nicely!
Still, stickers aside this is very easy to get ready to play with and super impressive. Doc McStuffins has a whole house to look after her stuffed toy friends when they are poorly and with her clinic downstairs she has her own bedroom upstairs including furniture for both areas!
Lambie has a reception desk with a lap top that opens and closes and a phone which tings when pressed and the patient’s bed has two buttons which make Hallie and Lambie (included) talk when they sit down on it. It’s lovely! There’s lots of little bits including a lift on the side of the house which works when pushed and a fish tank with fish you can make swim up and down the tank with a lever. The set also comes with a slide!
Then there’s Doc McStuffins herself! We actually have this doll from another set and just as before think she’s great! We especially like the fact her pigtails are made with synthetic hair and can be moved and her pink glittery shoes which come on and off are fab!
Florence and Jimmy have been having wonderful games with the set and using all their toy animals to come to the clinic as well as making up other stories to play out like parties!
Take a look!
It’s a big one a but if you have a spare shelf it could happily sit on it with the furniture all up inside until you want to play. A great little playhouse set which Florence is thrilled with and definitely worth the money!
We were sent the play house for the purpose of an honest review.
