Ebebek – The Baby Store One Stop Shop!

The UK high street has been missing the one stop baby shop ever since the likes of Mothercare hit the skids after bad management put it well and truly under. And while shopping on line in most walks of like is actually a little easier and handier, when it comes to baby stuff, I have to say it really just doesn’t cut the mustard. new Mums, be they on baby number one or beyond, want to see, and feel the items they’re buying for their precious little ones and frankly, who could blame them? Buying a buggy is almost on a par with the purchase of a car (in price as well in some cases) and yet test driving them has become a massive mission. Most department stores have some, but not all brands and styles making it an incredibly frustrating process of shopping around from one store to another and yet we used to have everything under one roof… Why did it have to become so difficult?!

Well, don’t worry because you’re in luck! Turkish company Ebebek, who have their own brand, AND sell masses of others, have just opened up in England and with the soft launch of their Lakeside store it became apparent that their flagship store at the Greenwich Peninsula Retail Park, would be another massive hit! We headed to the store opening on Valentine’s Day and got a taste of all things Ebebek!

With their walls and walls of buggies, wagons, prams, travel systems, car seats, cots, Moses baskets, clothing, toys, books, and anything else baby and child related then you’d be hard pressed to not find exactly what you want with just one shop, one stop, one purchase and then home! THIS is how shopping for a baby should be and the really great news is that Ebebek are planning on more stores throughout the country so watch this space!

We LOVED that the cafe is sat right next to an amazing soft play area meaning a little break can be had by all and the staff were super friendly and helpful too. I was gifted some vouchers to spend in store and bought clothing and toys for Posie as well as two Isofix booster seats made by Ebebek themselves! Booster seats are the phase I’m at with raffie right now and yet I never feel fully comfortable just placing on on the seat. An Isofix booser is just BRILLIANT instead, it has a back which can be removed if not needed and the best part, it’s super inexpenive – I got one for each car, how could I not?! I’ve never seen a fixed base booster seat before and it’s made me feel much more confident about using them!

Ebebek felt like a fun day out as much as it was a shopping trip and though we were treated to face painting and cakes to celebrate their launch, I actually think this is just their regular vibe. Also, as a side note, there’s an IKEA next door – best day out ever if you’re me, Florence (who was gutted she missed it because she was at school) and Posie!

Thanks for having us as your guests Ebebek!
