This time last year we went to our first Foodies Festival when it was held in Battersea Park. Since then we have become big fans of the festival because its such a great day out for the whole family and this past weekend we visited Battersea Park once again, for this year’s ‘Feast’!
We enjoyed another brilliant day trying new foods, sampling delicious drinks (of both the soft and alcoholic variety) and just soaked up the atmosphere while we listened to the band and played in the children’s sand pit. It wasn’t sunny and it DID rain but the day didn’t dampen because of it. We thought we’d stay for a little while and then move on to an activity based more under cover but actually once we were there we found it hard to leave!
Florence simply loves going round the supermarket trying the tasters of food on offer and at the Foodies festival she gets to do that at every other stall! She particularly liked all the gormet salamis and I, once again, decided I LOVE white Truffle paste… Expensive tastes for both of us I guess but the prices at the festival are always really amazing and you can’t help but indulge when things are on such fabulous offers!
Florence also enjoys cooking so the theatre tent for children was brilliant and just as at Clapham common in July, she joined in with one of the workshops learning how to make soup with bread bombs! The tents for adults get booked up very early so it pays to register early and get there in the morning. We didn’t arrive until lunch time so we missed out which was a shame but still we found lots to do. Jonny enjoyed a pint and the children played! It was another lovely day out!
