Halloween Half Term 2023!
Half term whizzed on by with Raffie being back at school for a week and a day already (albeit with a cheeky day off to enjoy some family fun with the big two who had two whole weeks off) and now the big kids have gone back today too! We had a great start to the holidays with a big, fun job helping to launch the new Mountain Warehouse in Norwich, followed by a manic day of football coaching, playing and watching AS WELL AS a fun afternoon at Wroxham Barns. I didn’t know how I was going to fit it all in, to be honest, I’m not even sure how I did but we got there and then the next day was all systems go for our trip to see Stick Man!
Then it was on the road to travel to my friend Sarah’s in Reading with an IKEA visit on the way! She put us up for two nights while we went to Legoland and Coral Reef swimming pool and it was so good to see her and her finace Joe, a real treat to get to spend time with them while we also did our fun family plans too! On the same trip we managed to see my Dad and Step Mum at theirs for breakfast and have another night staying with another friend Eve. They are VERY good friends to have put up with us lot as there’s so many of us, Eve even has 4 of her own so it was a busy, busy house but so much fun! Before we came home we did a job in Fulham which was a super fun day of filming for the little two combined with pizza making, eating and a massive play with a new mega toy! We then dropped Florence with a friend in London to have a couple of nights with her and came home to mountains of washing (of course) but more days out with friends!
The second week was obviously back to school (with a break) for Raffie, another London jaunt, more of our usual schedule, actual Halloween trick or treating and a party just for us (I didn’t have the brain power to put together a bigger friends party), a meet up with pals, and it finished with a brilliant fireworks weekend which we kicked off with Wroxham Barns low bang shin dig and finished with the village fireworks for those of us who like the bangs (Posie and I stayed home) and some drinks with friends after. What a BRILLIANT half term holiday, I just can’t believe it will be Christmas next!
