So, last week I was invited to the launch of the new electrical styling products by T-H-X (Total Hair Experts) which are exclusively being sold in Tesco! It was SO much fun and I got to catch up with some of my fave bloggers too! Basically we were treated to a bit of a make-over and given a master class on how to do our own hair using the new tools! I was a little worried that I wouldn’t be able to do it as I’ve always struggled to put curls in my hair using my old hair straighteners (which are very reputable and known for being great at curls too) but I actually found it very easy indeed! I was shown how to use the ceramic 32mm wave tong called ‘Wave hello‘ which sells at just £27.94 by Desmond, a fab hairdresser to the stars! I was very impressed with the results and even more so that I could do it on my own! This is me with some of the other bloggers at the event, we’d all used a different product from the range but I think you’ll agree that all our hair looks fab!
I actually liked mine so much I decided to try to re-create it for my friend’s wedding at the weekend and without any help whatsoever this is how I got on!
And this is me doing the actual styling! Please excuse my face mask!
And the end result…
So I really like this one, its a fantastic tool which not only works superbly but has some great features to boot. It has a digital variable heat which can go up to 230 degrees, heats up in 30 seconds, has a ceramic 30mm barrel which means lovely big curls, a stand for when it’s hot so as not to burn the dressing table and a 2M cord. The safety feature is that it automatically shuts down after an hour and the storage feature I like is that the cord doesn’t get tangled. Apparently it’s wires just wont twist up which is superb! I always wind the cord round hair tools like this because it’s the easiest way to store them but it’s always annoyed me on my straighteners how the cord gets twisted from almost first use. These are completely different and just wind round smoothly and stay that way – no twists! Look, on the right is my old straighteners and on the left is the T-H-X tong! Think I’ll have to get some T-H-X straighteners too as mine are definitely on their way out, not helped by the twisted cord I’m sure!
I’m definitely not the only fan! Take a look at some of the celebs I bumped into at the launch!
Imogen Thomas who was blooming in a gorgeous maternity dress by Crave Maternity, another favourite of mine!
Millie and Louise from ‘Made In Chelsea’, Danielle Lloyd in a beautiful dress and Keisha Buchanan who was the DJ for the party!
