Rio 2 And A Day At The Zoo

On 4th August, which just happens to be my wedding anniversary number one (we had two weddings, one at home and one abroad), the children and I got up mega early after only a few hours sleep (having only got home from Camp Bestival at 4am that morning) and trotted off to London Zoo for a very special screening!

We were in great company as lots of celebrities like Imogen Thomas, Trixie from Call The Midwife, Aldo Zilli and lots more had chosen to do the exact same thing. We even sat next to Daly Thompson (and threw a glass of water over him – Jimmy, not me) and we were treated to a very special performance from the Barbatuques before the film!

The film we are talking about is the fabulously colourful and fun Rio 2 and the Barbatuques are the vocal stars of the movie who provide their amazing music as the score using only their own human bodies!

It was amazing and we had a brilliant time watching Rio 2 which was celebrating the launch of the DVD and Blue-Ray release. We even got to come away with a copy which is ace as the film is awesome!

We loved the screening of Rio 2! This is a film we will watch again and again now that we have the DVD!

After the film the children, my friend Lauren from Mummy Is A Gadget Geek, some of her brood and I got to spend the afternoon at the zoo! Fabulous day!
