Space Saving!

Space saving is always a real bonus in a large household like mine. If I can find a really great way of maximising a room, so that it can function as more than just the ordinary, then all the better. I grew accustomed to this being part and parcel of my household requirements living in a two bed flat in London with two small children and though now, living in Norfolk, we have far more space, we have grown in numbers and even with a fairly big house with bedrooms for us all, if I can find a space saving then I’m all for it!

When it comes to the bedrooms, which like I say we have enough of, space is really key. Though the number of rooms is there, Raffie’s, in particular, is very small so we have had to be clever about storage, use our initiative when it comes to furniture and as for his bed, a tiny toddler one for now, we know we will have to think outside the box again when he’s big enough for something full sized.

This is where a bespoke Murphy bed could come in incredibly handy! A folding wall bed which can be built into even the wardrobes maximises space to a premium and not only that but it looks super smart too. Having a bed like this would mean Raffie could have the biggest bed in the house if he so wished but to boot, despite having the smallest bedroom, would have floor space to play! The dream!

In fact, I think for Raffie’s room, the only way to go is fitted all the way with careful and thoughtful touches to the storage, not only with a folding away bed, but in every direction! He currently doesn’t have enough room to store his clothes, not properly and his toys are in boxes which take up way too much room! Having a built in bedroom could change all of that!

I’m pretty impressed and when Raffie’s room needs a revamp it’s in their direction I’m headed… I wonder what they’d do with his little room? Fitted wardrobes? A fold away bed? I’d be in it for the lot as I know one thing, they’ll know how to make it perfect in a way I could never envisage, they’re the experts after all!
