Summer Holidays 2023 – Week 6 (and a bit)!
The final week… What happened? One minute it was all to come with 6 weeks to fill and then I blinked and here we are. There’s been brilliant bits and slow bits and bits where everyone argued but… It’s all been precious and created wonderful memories. Even the holiday home in Southwold being very definitely grubby and not safe for children couldn’t ruin the holiday because we were in all the right places with all the right faces!
Coming home felt a bit of a bump to earth as we knew school was right around the corner. Now we’ve one more sleep and Jonny goes back, Jimmy begins his high school journey and then Florence and Raffie have one more day before Year One and Lower 5/year 9 begin.
What a summer and the last week was excellent finishing our little holiday and coming home to a CLEAN house (I’m so glad we cleaned properly before coming away because coming home from holiday is blues vibes but leaving the dirty to the clean feels like the edge taken off that)!
I’m very sad it’s over. Sob!
Here’s the best bits of the last week which also included a goal for Jimmy at football, a welcome service at school and a day at Cromer while Flobo had a pool party round at a friends. We packed it in for the last bit didn’t we!
