Summer Holidays 2024 – Week 5!

How we’ve sped our way through week 5 is anyone’s guess but here we are, with only one more week (and a tiny bit) to go and I’m so perplexed at all the posts from people saying “thank goodness”, and how long it’s been, and how they are champing at the bit to get the kids back to school!? Frankly I’d have then home ALL the time because I love it! It foes feel like Florence and Jimmy have been off a long time, they had 2 exta weeks on Raffie but the last 5 have gone at mega speed and I’m.not looking forward to the end of the holidays this time next week at all!

So I won’t think about that too much and instead will say what a marvellous week we’ve had! Birthday fun for my niece at my in-laws kicked us off for Monday (Florence went to a pool party at a friend’s and Jimmy was also with a pal), followed by a day at home, then we went to Roarr! with my sister-in-law and niece before having a “pool party” of our own back at hers! Thursday we travelled to see my Dad near Reading and he and my step Mum took us to Go Ape, which was SO much fun!

We stayed the night at my friend’s Sarah and Joe in Reading before hitting a very frustrating day at Legoland where we got stuck on a ride for AGES! Another night with Sarah and Joe gifted us hangovers to drive home with but lots of laughs in the bank and then it was the weekend filled with football and more fun!

Let’s make the last week and a bit go a bit slower shall we?!
