The first time Florence was introduced to Lazy Town was when we saw Robbie Rotten playing the baddy in a live show! We booed and hissed our way through and cheered as Sportacus and Stephanie helped save the day!
We thoroughly enjoy the show too and are super excited that we have got to see some of the episodes for the new series before anyone else! We were very lucky to have been invited to the launch party for the much anticipated start of the third series which starts airing on Cartoonito on Saturday 6th April! And from our sneak preview where we also had the chance to get active with superhero Sportacus, we can report that we think it’s going to be just as much a global hit as the first two previous series!
Did you know that it’s been transmitted in 172 countries and translated into 30 different languages – that’s some pretty popular programming! Magnús Scheving who created it and also stars must be very proud of himself indeed and now with a shiny new make-over which sees Sportacus in a new outfit designed by the same costume makers who created none other than Batman’s outfit, there’s never been a more exciting time to watch! (Also, I’ve met him and let me tell you, Sportacus sure has some muscles! Man he’s a good somersaulter too – bit of guy candy for the Mum’s never goes amiss)!
The gang of Lazy Town unusually combines real people and puppets! They do it rather well and it makes for aesthetically pleasing viewing!
We watched the first episode of the new series and all the children in the room were totally on board! By the time it finished they were all desperate to play at being Sportacus so when he actually bounded into the room on his hands ready to take the children for a dance/sports session their eyes were out on stalks! Florence absolutely loved it and danced so much that by the time we left she was ready for a snooze and she NEVER snoozes in the day time anymore!
Wowsers! Florence and the other children were mesmerised!
Health, wellbeing and fun are at the heart of what Lazy Town is about and Sportacus only has enough strength to keep defeating Robbie Rotten (who does have good in him too) by eating fruit and vegetables. Never before has Florence been so keen to eat a green apple and she even asked if we could take one home with us from one of the many bowls at the party!
Both my children making like Sportacus and eating up their Sports Snacks at the party!
Meeting Sportacus was the icing on the cake after a very enjoyable watch! Think we have a new little Lazy Town fan in Florence!
We also got to see the big boss of Cartoonito who told us all about the other exciting programmes they have on their channel! Cartoonito definitely seems to know which programmes to choose! I wonder if they have a tiny brain on board to advise them, listening to their line up it sounds like Florence has personally had it bespoked for her! It’s worth getting for Chole’s Closet alone I’d say! We only have three episodes on our on-demand TV and Florence watches them on repeat!
I have not been paid to write this post. I was invited to the launch party for the new series of Lazy Town but am under no obligation to express a positive opinion. All opinions are entirely my own!
