I’ve written before about my love of the Little Bird range at Mothercare. It’s all designed by Jools Oliver (I actually have a bit of a girl crush on her now if I’m honest) and is a modern take on retro classics that remind me of my own childhood. One of the things I love about the Little Bird range is that lots of the pieces can be for either sex and although some may only dress boys in certain pieces or girls in others, I fully embrace the unisex qualities and have lots of pieces doubled so that Florence and Jimmy can match outfits! I was sent some pieces earlier in the summer but I’ve simply had to add to our collection by buying extra bits we didn’t have and doubling up on favourites that would suit both children!

I truly, truly LOVE this range and can’t wait already to see what she’ll design for her next collection! There are still so many pieces in the summer range that I could buy. I love the straw trilby hat but can’t find it in stock in Jimmy’s size anywhere and in all honesty could probably spend all my money on buying more and more bits for Florence who adores clothes like I do! My finding is this, if you like something and find it in your size then buy it now – summer is well and truly in full swing (despite the lack of sunshine most days) and stock seems to be selling out – no wonder!
