Do you remember back March we planted our own tomato seeds? You could apply with the Heinz Facebook page for a FREE packet of seeds so it didn’t even cost us anything! We’ve documented our tomato ‘Grow Your Own’ story on the blog and finally… Finally! We have been able to pick the fruits of the grow this weekend. There’s still quite a few more green ones (the film ‘Fried Green Tomatoes At The Whistlestop Cafe’, which I love, inspired the title of this post) so it looks like we still have more picking to come but for now! Look what we got!

The FREE packet of seeds grew us some very alternatively shaped tomatoes but we also planted some other varieties of our own so we do have lots of round ones too!

We shall definitely grow more things in future! It was so much fun watching them go from tiny little shoots to the big plants with food we can eat!
