A few months ago Aldi challenged me to make a cocktail using Aldi spirits and I, selflessly,, stepped up to the task and made a traffic light concoction! It was summer, the colours were sunny and it doesn’t take much to get me to open a bottle of gin…
More recently they asked if I’d like to do something similar but for Christmas instead so I had a little think and decided something warm would be appropriate. Something warm AND warming but also something yummy, sweet and with the scent of Christmas!
I decided to make a cross between hot chocolate and a liqueur coffee with lashings of whipped cream and PLENTY of booze!
Ingredients:
One shot of Aldi’s Ballycastle Irish Country Cream
One shot of Aldi’s After Dark Coffee Flavour Drink
Half a mug of hot chocolate made with milk
Half a mug of strong coffee
Squirty cream
Chocolate powder for dusting
Layer the ingredients in order and voila… Can’t say no to that now can you?!
I was sent an incentive for creating this post but I have to say, I always buy Aldi spirits and liqueurs because I genuinely think they are excellent for taste and can’t be beaten on price!
