I LOVED The Baby Show the first time I went; I had masses of fun as a customer and with my sister-law pregnant I convinced her to buy a Bugaboo Cameleon. Now anyone who knows me will understand why that was so exciting for me, I adore Bugaboos!
She bought it from Mothercare having found a deal elsewhere which they did a show special and matched! That way she managed to get the best deal but with the utter assurances of customer care that only a store like MC can offer!
The next time I went I LOVED it again! I was invited as an official Baby Show blogger and it was fantastic getting to try all the new gadgets before anyone else! I fell in love with The baby Show and even once traveled to Birmingham to get my fix.
A few Baby Shows later and it kind of dipped in brilliance. In fact, it actually was rather rubbish! The creche was very poor and there was just no spark about it. I decided I wasn’t going to go again and missed one but then it came round again and I was persuaded to give it another go. I’m glad I did because back in October we had a brilliant day and I realised The Baby Show was back on top form!
I was slightly worried that it would have dipped again for the Excel this past weekend and wondered if I should go or not? But the children had such a fab time at the one before this one that I decided we’d go again!
I am SO pleased I did! It was AWESOME! Literally the best show I’ve been to and with my friend Carly who I took along for the ride and our four little ones we just laughed and chatted and had fun! It was a day to remember! Carly had her tiny eleven week old baby with her, who actually was 10 weeks premature, so with a tiny tot like that in tow I’m sure you can imagine, we were like celebrities with everyone wanting to stop us and have a look at the tiniest baby at The Baby Show!
(Apart from the chatting) We LOVED:
- The Mothercare fashion show on the main stage – Did you know I’m rather fond of their clothes? They took over Blooming Marvelous, one of my fave maternity brands and of course they make the wonderful Little Bird collection too! Mothercare sure know their fashion!
- Diddi Dance! The children had so much fun joining in with a class!
Dancing with friends at Diddi Dance!
- We met up with Tommee Tippee who showed us their Simply Intuitive range of soothers! My children might not have dummies but they were pretty taken with the cute characters anyway!
Florence found a Ladybird dummy at Tommee Tippee!
- Funky Giraffe Bibs caught our eye immediately with their fabulous patterns and Carly and I came away with lots of things to try!
- iCandy have a new buggy called the Raspberry which looks ace for City living and comes in some pretty gorgeous colours! It’s not out yet but it’s coming soon and I reckon it’s gonna be a pretty big hit judging by the cooing going on over at their stand!
- Mam Baby have brought out a new glass bottle which is retro and gorgeous! My friend Carly can’t wait to use hers and we got some fab new Mam sippy cups which we’ve already tried and they’re ace!
- Stokke is fairly new to me as I’ve not really browsed before now but I like what I see when it comes to seating! I went to the new Stokke Steps launch a couple of weeks ago and Jimmy LOVED it. I tried their MyCarrier out for size at the show and it’s the first time I’ve used a sling on my back that I’ve instantly liked as much as the Ergo! I can see that it might actually have something about it which could surpass Ergo as my fave brand… It was super easy to put on and felt very safe!
- I think the loveliest part of the day was when we visited the Cosatto stand to enter their competition! They have a new buggy called the Ooba and there was a chance to win it! I know Carly is a MASSIVE fan of the Cosatto colours so I made her enter. The lovely Cosatto ladies fell for the teenie tiny one with us and kept giving us yummy cakes… Oh it was tough but we forced them down! 😉
As we fell for the new Cosatto Ooba, the Cosatto ladies fell for the tiniest member of our party!
A brilliant show and a brilliant day!
