Bizziebaby Weekly Polls!

This entry was posted in Uncategorized.

I often talk about my friends at Bizziebaby and have mentioned many times that it was through them that I did my first ever product reviewing. After you pay £5 for a yearly membership they will send out products to be reviewed which always come to a value higher than the fee and with a really simple form to fill in, the review doesn’t even take a lot of work if you don’t want it to.

Obviously you don’t have to be a member or pay any money at all to make use of the information they provide and because they literally have every baby product reviewed on their site it’s a really great place to just check out what other parents think before you make any purchases yourselves!

Aside from offering reviews and the chance to be a reviewer they also have weekly polls on their Facebook page which can be really helpful and interesting as well as fun to join in with! Last week they asked ‘What would you do if your child was being bullied in school’? Something which I have been wondering myself recently. I wrote only a couple of weeks ago about Florence starting nursery and having to realise what girls can be like for the first time, about bullying and about friendships and hierarchies within the class room… The results they found were very interesting indeed and I have to say I think I’m with the majority! I can’t imagine going to the police unless it was something really bad but if it was then I’m sure I’d consider that too! I suppose I’d also turn into enough of a tigress protecting my young to confront a parent if I had to but I rather hope I never do actually have to of course and like I said, I agree with most of the people who answered and think telling the head teacher would be by far the best first step!

Results:

75% Would Tell teacher or Head Teacher
17.5% would confront the parents/carers
7.5% would report to the police

This week the poll question is ‘All school dinners now must meet nutritional standards so that children have a healthy and balanced diet. This includes high quality meat and poultry and at least 2 portions of fruit and veg with every meal. Is this important to you? Does your child have school dinners or do you do them a packed lunch?’

Florence is loving her school dinners and because I live in one of the boroughs that Jamie Oliver came and had a hand in changing they are absolutely amazing anyway, even before the new guidelines. I’m very happy for her to eat at school and think it’s important that she has something yummy (which they are) and healthy every day! She only eats at nursery twice a week and the rest of the time at home with me. I’m sure she MUCH prefers her school dinners to the sandwiches I serve up at lunchtime!
