Before I had children I used to think ‘I’d quite like a bath’ and then guess what? I had one. Sometimes I’d even read a magazine or sit on the sofa uninterrupted through a whole programme in the day time! Often I would watch other things on television when they were actually scheduled and I don’t think I ever had to catch up with East Enders at 3am… In fact, the only time I used to see 3am at all […]

I met my friend MummyIsAGadgetGeek way before I started blogging when we were both new Mummies for the first time attending local children’s centre groups. I had no idea that she was a blogger when I dipped my toe into the world of Mummy blogging but it came as a lovely surprise to find that she was and we have forged a little team ever since. We meet very often for dates both blogging and of the play variety and […]
I have really done the rounds with the Christmas preview shows today and I started out at Marks and Spencer first thing this morning. I’ve long been a fan of the store and we enjoy so many of their food products for treats! One of my favourite things to eat is their honey glazed gammon which is very often in their ‘Dine In’ range! They do food, party food in particular, to such an exceptionally high standard and although it […]
It’s no secret that I’m a fan of Mothercare and The Early Learning Centre and it’s certainly no secret that I’m a HUGE fan of the Little Bird range of clothes designed by Jools Oliver! Both my children have practically been wearing nothing else for the whole of the summer and today, at their press day for Christmas 2013, I got to meet the designer in person! I gushed a bit and was definitely not as ‘cool’ as I was […]
My third Christmas trip of the day today was to the ever beautiful and deliciously tasteful White Company to see what their Christmas 2013 offerings are going to be. As with everything and everyone this effortlessly cool it was laid back, eclectic and just had the mellowest vibe possible. Of course there wasn’t a hair out of place in their furnishings, decorations and ideas but it’s done in such a way that it LOOKS as if no effort has gone […]
I have a few brands of children’s toys that I really, really like and could almost guarantee that they will go down well with the children. Sassy Baby is one of them and we have been lucky enough to have been sent some super new bath toys to try out from their new range. The bath toys have always gone down well in the past so I’ve no doubt in my mind that these ones will too. They always work […]
Yesterday I was lucky enough to be invited to the Christmas In July event run by Evolution PR. Traditionally, retailers and PR companies on their behalf advertise their Christmas wares in July and invite members of the press to come and preview them. As a blogger, the invite has been extended and I too now have got to see in advance what will come up this yule tide. I went to a few last year and they were super exciting […]
Holidays for Jonny and I in the past have always included games of cards. We don’t play any other time really but when on holiday we, like a little old couple, have always settled down with a drink and a few hands of ‘Knock Out Whist’ or ‘Sevens’ (the only card games we know) of a holiday evening! That was before we had children of course, they don’t seem keen to sit still quietly sipping a drink while they’re parents relax for […]

As far as I can make out everyone with children is familiar with the ‘That’s not my..’ book range by Usborne! Children love them and as each book follows the same format with a topic such as ‘Tiger’, ‘Robot’ or ‘Fairy’ for example, we see on each page why the topic doesn’t belong to us with a touchy feely sample before the last page where we find the one that does belong to us. ‘That’s not my Monkey’ with his […]
