I always take great pride in what my children wear. I wouldn’t say I go over the top and spend a fortune but I like them to look lovely. I like them to look like children and my preferred style for them is an old-fashioned classic look.
I do lots of shopping on-line and have a few favourite websites that I like to choose children’s clothes from. I often find that you can buy lots of lovely things for girls but for boys the options are a little sparse. One website that’s really good is Alex and Alexa. They have just as many gorgeous options for the little lads as they do girlies and make shopping for boys clothes enjoyable for once!
Naturally they have lots of lovely things for girls too and what I particularly like about lots of the ranges they stock is that it’s all a bit different to everywhere else. Girls clothes are not all pink and glitter and the boys stuff is tasteful and in keeping with the style I prefer.
Swimwear has always been a favourite thing of mine to buy Florence… I remember picking up a teeny tiny swimsuit for her before she was even born and before I even knew that she was a girl. I guess there are just some things I can’t resist and teeny tiny swimming costumes is obviously one of them! This season is all about nautical, frills and floral and just because they’re children doesn’t mean they can’t be bang on trend, just in a child friendly way!
We have a few holidays coming up this summer and swimming will feature heavily so I will be in my element choosing costumes for her… And hats to go with them and summer floaty dresses to wear to the beach and… Well, this could be a rather long post if I go on!
Roll on summer so we can get back in the pool and in some new summer outfits!
