As with all the Sassy Toys we have (and we have a few cause they’re fab), the one we’ve been trying out most recently has impressed me no end! Jimmy has until recently (when two came through) been really struggling with his teeth and before long the next round will start and this particular toy will be oodles of help (as well as fun for him)! It is, of course a teether, but a rather fab one at that, it has to be said!
The Flutterby Teether is not only interesting to look at, can be put in the fridge to cool the water filled wings for extra comfort on the gums and offers lots of different textures to chew on but it is also incredibly easy to hold! Not something which all teethers are if I’m honest. Often the part where babies are meant to hold is too chunky for them to actually get a grip on (especially if they’re maybe only 3 or 4 months old when teething very often starts) but this one has the perfect sized hoop to clasp on to or indeed chew!
I like the fact that this toy isn’t just basic and there for the purpose of teething only. Babies aren’t stupid and they want something exciting to play with not something which serves a purpose and that’s it. I think often manufacturers make the mistake of not taking into consideration the imagination and pleasure of a tiny baby mind! The Flutterby Teether has a lovely face which gives it character and makes it super appealing to both a baby wanting to play and a baby simply needing something to gnaw on! As always with a Sassy toy, the colours are interesting because they incorporate black and white with colours which gives a great contrast for a baby to look at. Personally I think it makes them very appealing to adults as well because they’re not thoroughly gaudy and it means they’re a little bit different so I like that! Different and unusual is good as far as I’m concerned, especially when they’re such excellent value for money, make the little ones smile and do what they say on the tin! This is a lovely teether which would make an excellent Christmas present for a tiny one. It is recommended for 3 months + and can be purchased very reasonably at £3.95 (which is well under the RRP) here!
Jimmy really enjoying playing with the Flutterby Teether!
