Jonny and I have been using Dentyl Active Enamel Restore mouthwash for the past few days and have decided we really like it. It’s a bit different to other mouthwashes because it shows you (bit grim) in the sink all the plaque and debris that the toothbrush didn’t manage to get when you brush!
It’s called a two phase mouthwash and is the only brand of mouthwash in the UK which uses this sort of technology. The plaque and left over debris are left as brightly coloured masses in the sink when you expel it from your mouth. It also includes essential oils in the ingredients to help nourish the mouth (unlike many mouthwashes which can leave the mouth feeling dry from their alcohol content) and CPC, which you need to shake to activate before use.
In the National Diet and Nutrition Survey responses from young people aged four to 18 years suggest:
• Over half of the young people (aged four to 18) showed signs of tooth erosion.
• 46% of four to six-year-olds had erosion in their milk teeth. For 12% of these, the erosion had spread to the dentine and pulp of the tooth.
• 34% of 15 to 18-year-olds examined were suffering from tooth erosion, with 5% showing signs of extensive damage.
• Young people in the Northern region aged seven to 18 years were significantly more likely to have an experience of erosion than those in London and the South East.
Research has also shown that carbonated drinks can double or triple the incidence of tooth decay. Dental decay is on the increase with more than half (55%) of adults in the UK also have one or more decayed teeth. Fluoride plays a crucial role in preventing enamel erosion and hardening dental softspot. New Dentyl Active Enamel Restore comes in light of this research. It contains double the fluroide levels than other mouthwashes, and is within recommended amounts.
I really like to take care of my teeth so I was very happy to try this. I noticed that when I used my electric toothbrush there was hardly anything in the sink whereas when I brushed using a regular toothbrush it left loads of yucky bits to come out with the mouth wash. It’s amazing to see how much can be left behind after brushing!
This mouthwash leaves your mouth feeling fresher and tasting minty for ages which is great! I really think it works but it’s actually been scientifically Proven…
Dentyl Active® is a scientifically proven two phase formula that can reduce plaque levels by up to 25% after brushing the teeth while removing food debris from the mouth. In addition, because Dentyl Active contains the scientifically proven antibacterial agent Cetylpyridinium chloride, it
kills up to 99.9% of oral bacteria while efficiently removing bacterial layers from the teeth and tongue, leaving the mouth feeling fresh and clean.
We really like it and can highly recommend! My Mum’s been using it on and off for ages actually and I remember thinking the same when I tried it at her house
I have not been paid to write this post but I was sent a sample of the mouthwash for the purpose of review.
