DreamToys List 2025 Revealed!

DreamToys List 2025 Revealed!

The DreamToys List 2025 is Revealed as Toy Industry Experiences Biggest Growth Since Covid!

I went along to the launch for the best Christmas toys of 2025, as voted for by the toy retailer’s association and I have to say, with a smaller list than usual, I think it’s going to prove very tricky indeed to get your hands on some of these this year. So, my best advice would be to get to the shops now, most are already on sale, and snap up the things you like best.

Here’s what I thought of the list when I got to have an in depth look (and play) today!

Dress To Impress Mystery Model Dolls By Click – £12.99

These dolls are mix and match when it comes to clothing, which I love and I think coming in their own little star box makes them super collectible (they are bought and unboxed blind for that added element of fun). The fact they are associated with a Roblox game kind of can mean everything and nothing which is great as my children would love these but they aren’t allowed to play Roblox which is a user generated platform meaning it can’t be regulated entirely, even with parental controls. The game is a no from me but the dolls get a thumbs up! 7/10

Gui Gui Shimmer Deluxe Pack By Moose Toys – £19.99

Another one I like a lot but, alas, still with an element that isn’t for me. Obviously the little two in my house would love the slime and the glitter, decorating and arranging the accoutrements within the slime. It’s also great as the pots come with a lid so once the slime has been given its glow up it can be kept and used for 6 months. But… I’m not wild about the fact it’s made to look and sound like skin care as I’m not totally on board with little girls thinking they might need that (it isn’t that but very much looks like it could be). Saying this, playing games where you dress up to be like Mummy have happened for forever and I think that’s a good thing, so, I guess it’s the prescription of it all that I’m not so keen on – I’m sure my daughter, however, would be thrilled with this! 7/10

Hot Wheels Racing F1 Grand Prix Circuit By Mattel – £79.99

I like Hot Wheels, but I don’t LOVE Hot Wheels. In general. And this track is BIG, which is definitely not a piece of me with new toys at Christmas I then have to find homes for! Even broken down and packed away it’s a large item, so make sure you have room to store it when not in use. It’s definitely fun, but it kind of doesn’t feel as exciting as say, a Scalextric… It doesn’t require batteries however, and I think it works better (has anyone ever had success with a Scalextric?). For me, I know the boys in my house would love it, but not with much longevity to the play. I can see it gathering dust (in a taking up a lot of space kind of way) and considering the price… I’m going to mark it low – Sorry Hot Wheels! 2/10

Human Controller By TOMY – £34.99

This is lots of fun and one the whole family can play, one person wears the mask while another controls what they do with an ap, giving them instructions over a series of games. A BIT techy but not so advanced the older members of the family will switch off and not so lame the younger ones will get bored – I think everyone will enjoy this and knowing the creators will add more and more game to play using the head set (reminiscent of a VR set which will appeal to smaller ones) I think it’s GREAT value! 9/10

Jurassic World Primal Hatch T.Rex By Spin Master – £64.99

I have two boys who would really enjoy this as T-Rex hatches and you teach him how to behave. He gets angry, can be tamed (and re-set) and offers hours of fun even after the impressive hatching which leaves his egg with gooey membrane to discard in one half and the other half of his shell can be used as a stand. Fun, not too big, with longevity – we like! 8/10

Marshmallow Madness – By Vivid Goliath – £19.99

So much fun, a real novelty but one the whole family can get on board with as they try to pick up the sweets/berries (whatever you choose) using the levered hands as their faces go through the hole giving everyone a good giggle. Race against each other, or the timer. A FAB family Christmas game which doesn’t take up too much space once back in its box! – 9/10

Mini Brands – Fill the Fridge Playset By ZURU – £19.99

I began thinking this was a bit niche and also, not really my bag and then I realised it’s just the right size to play with a Barbie! I’d have LOVED a fridge full of realistic food. I used to make my doll’s food out of Fimo modelling clay, so this would have been just up my street. The fridge comes with a bit of food, some you can make and harden inside the fridge which has a special light to set it, and then you can buy bling balls containing more food items. If you just like organising a fridge, well… I’m not sure this would cut it if it were me, but in relation to play with a doll, I’m all over it! 7/10

Monster Jam Smash & Bash Grave Digger RC By Spin Master – £49.99

Oh this is great – a real boy’s toy we would say in my house (although of course Posie would love it as much as her brothers and Dad)! A remote control steers the truck into walls where it concertinas up and then revives. It charges by a plug and I’d say would be ideal for two brothers with one each to race and smash at each other! 8/10

One Piece the Going Merry Pirate Ship By LEGO – £119.99

I don’t know the show. And I do think this is VERY expensive but then what LEGO isn’t?! And I have one son who just loves to build, the more intricate the better so I think this would go down well. It took the guy who made it for the show about 10 hours to complete so though a hefty price tag attached to it can be off putting, when you count how much per hour of fun then i don’t think it’s bad and you get a WHOLE HEAP of LEGO if you then like to break down and re-build your own thing (as my oldest son does), or you have a fairly large ornament to display – you decide?! 7/10

Peppa Pig Oinks & Snuggles Evie Doll By Hasbro – £29.99

Oh this is my favourite of the whole list – the best marketing idea in the history of marketing ideas has fully come to fruition now with the extra merch baby Evie pig has been able to bring to Peppa’s already substantial table! EVERY single child goes through a Peppa stage and Posie is still very much in hers. I know when she sees crying and sucking on her dummy baby Evie pig she is going to be absolutely delighted! 10/10

Pokémon Trading Card Game: Mega Evolution Elite Trainer Box – Gardevoir By Pokémon – £54.99

Trading cards are big business and I don’t feel fully qualified to give a personal opinion on this one as we don’t tend to get involved. Raffie loves a football card, delights in Pokémon ones too but that’s as far as it goes and then they get lost, crumpled… I suppose if it’s your thing (and it is LOTS of people’s thing) then this would be great, there were definitely excited noises coming from this area in the room. But… £55!!!!!!!! It’s a lot, it can be added to, there is a genuine game to it (that I didn’t get), I think this one is very niche to the fans so go for it if you are one! 5/10

Speed Champions F1® Racing Cars By LEGO – £22.99

Now we are talking, this is my sort of price point for a top toy of Christmas and this one being LEGO makes it excellent value! F1 is all the rage, once built it’s small enough to display with ease and it’s kind of on a par with Technics LEGO in terms of skills required. I like this one for bigger kids, and think it’s an excellent addition to the list! 9/10

Sticki Rolls Sticki Rolluxe By Character Options – £39.99

Ok, Sticki Rolls in general are BRILLIANT! Everyone loves them, boys and girls and all different ages. I’m not 100% sure you need such a big box and so many compartments (I do prefer things to tidy away neatly) but I can very definitely see the appeal to being able to put together your own bracelets and there’s little to cmplain about with this choice which children will be very pleased to open on Christmas morning – it will then keep them busy all afternoon while the cooking gets done too! 9/10

Disney Stitch Ultimate Stitch Interactive Feature Plush By Just Play – £79.99

I thought this Stitch was super fun, Stich fans will be VERY pleased with how interactive and friendly he is, it’s like having a real Stitch to be honest and yet you don’t have to feed him. There was another very big Stitch last year, which we were sent (and we love and play with often) after the event, I’m not sure if this one is better or not, I’d need to spend more time with him to determine that! 8/10 (so far but watch this space…)

Wicked For Good Singing Dolls By Mattel – £34.99

Ok, I want to give these Barbie sized dolls an 11 out of 10 because they are just so realistic in terms of how much they look like the actresses, then coupled with being able to sing the songs, wear all of barbie’s clothing, play lots of Wicked games and just, you now, be VERY cool, they are amazing and they will sell like hot cakes on the yellow brick road to the oven – BUY THEM NOW TO AVOID DISAPPOINTMENT! 10/10

Happy shopping and best of luck getting those dolls, as someone who fought her way around various Argos shops one year for a singing Elsa, I can tell you, you’re going to need it!
