Back in February I reviewed a really great sling for a company called Rockin’ Baby. We loved it, especially as Jimmy was an older child when we first used it. We do still like to use slings but not many are great for children over the age of 2; This one is however and we still carry Jimmy even now that he’s nearly three and a half! That’s pretty good value when you consider the longeovity of the product because it can be used from new born.
The other really fabulous thing about Rockin’ Baby is that they are super ethical and with the purchase of every product they will donate the same product to a Mum in need. I like that, I like that very much and because it’s not just slings that Rockin’ Baby sell but also baby and children’s fashion and blankets, it means you can keep on buying and keep on donating! It’s not exactly a selfless good deed because you’re shopping for gorgeous clothes (did I mention they’re super gorgeous?) but it certainly means you’re balancing out any shoppers guilt!
Florence and Jimmy have been rockin’ some Rockin’ baby clothes this weekend and I have to say I think they are utterly delightful! Jimmy has a Hunter Bear Stripe Twofer and Florence has the Stripe Bubble Top (£22). They match because the base material is the same but they are different because the embellishments on the fabrics are completely different. The material is also very soft to the touch making it feel good on little skin and it’s very thick exuding great quality.
The Bubble Top in particular is unusual becase of its shape which looks super sweet on and the embroidery flowers at the bottom. Florence has been wearing it as a dress with tights but it would look equally good with leggings. The little stripes across the material aren’t quite straight and have a jagged-ness to them which gives a different look that we rather like.
Well now that Rockin’ Baby clothes are on my radar I sense a few more for the wardrobe soon. I think for sure when I buy friends new baby presents that this is the company I will come to because of the quality to start with and the ethics second. I love the idea of buying a present for a friend while at the same time giving a gift to another parent who really needs it. Even if the clothes were just so so it would be a reason to buy but they’re absolutely gorgeous and on top of that, no more expensive than lots of other high street shops. Well done Rockin’ Baby, new fans here!
