February Half Term 2025!

February Half Term is oftena. Funny one isn’t it, while I welcome the time off to be together, the weather isn’t great and doesn’t make it feel inviting for lots of days out and being busy as is my usual wont. We’ve had a mix of being busy and out for the day with down time at home. I’m more inclined to let us settle into nothing much when it’s grey, cold and raining but I do prefer the big days out!

Jonny had lots of work to do this half term, both for teaching and around the home and at Gram’s helping her, but we did manage some family time alongside days out with a selection of children. Unfortunately a whole family day didn’t happen which bugs me as I love nothing better than us all together, all the time but it just wasn’t meant to be. We spent time with friends, the big kids both had sleepovers, Florence in London for 2 nights and Jimmy with a primary school friend. We had a day out in London with Jimmy’s primary school bestie which was brilliant, went to the zoo as a gang (but got so cold it took me hours to get warm after), crafted a costume for Raffie’s next WOW day coming up this week, went to McDonalds (of course), Jimmy went to a party, there was a Mum’s night out, Raffie had a friend over to sleep, we hit up a show at the Norwich Science Festival, went to Roarr!, spent the day at BeWILDerwood with Posie’s besties and we stayed put, did a bit of nothing and enjoyed that too.

I wish they didn’t have to go back today. I hate wishing for time to go faster but all I want is them home with me all the time so I kind of can’t help thinking roll on Easter!
