With Valentines Day starting off the weekend on Friday it could only have been a weekend to celebrate love don’t you think?!
I didn’t actually get a card from my husband but I did get a present which he’d put some thought into so I have to give him brownie points for that! He has always been a bit hit and miss when it comes to celebrating Valentines Day so I think to get anything at all is a bit of an achievement!
Then on Saturday I came home to another lovely present, not one from my husband but a lovely friend of mine! How nice is that!
Love can be romantic but of course it can take on many other forms too and the most important part is that it means friendship! To be chosen to send a gift to, on any day of the week, a random present, a gift just to be kind… It felt very lovely indeed and very appropriate for the gift to arrive this weekend of hearts and flowers and all things lovely!
My friend, Katy from Modern Mummy was asked who she would like to send a friendship bracelet to in a sort of chain of random acts of kindness! She was asked to pick two people who in turn would pick two people and so on! Debenhams, who came up with the idea said that she could choose any bracelet she liked up to the value of £60 for me and her other chosen pal, Alice from An Essex Wife!
She chose me this one by Martine Webster and I absolutely LOVE it!
I was a bit bowled over, how kind of her to think of me! She’s wicked and I love hanging out with her and am so touched that she gave me this bracelet and also the opportunity to then choose two more bloggers to pass on the same! I chose my friend Emily from Family Four Fun because she is super kind and always helps me out with all my many blogging queries. I also chose the super sweet Chelsea from MS Mummy Of Two. She’s been feeling a bit down and poorly recently but when I saw her a few weeks back she still managed to make everyone smile with her tinkly infectious giggling!
I so hope the bracelets have made my two friends smile as much as mine has me! I loved choosing from the range although it was very hard because there were so many beautiful bracelets to choose from!
My bracelet is so pretty, a little bit hippy and a really special piece to have! Thank you Katy and thank you Debenhams! What a brilliant idea!
I was sent a bracelet as detailed in the post above.
Oh this is so lovely, both the bracelet and the the whole idea. X
Thank you so much for choosing me, made me feel very special and I’ll treasure the bracelet as I do your friendship! xx
