As soon as Florence saw Little Live Pets, which was in the summer of last year just as they were being launched, she absolutely loved them. The little birds which whistle and repeat what you say are absolutely gorgeous; we don’t know anyone who has played with one who hasn’t fallen in love!
We have a little bird and both the children play with it regularly, in fact my Mum bought another different one for Florence as an Easter present because we think they’re just brilliant! Any time we have friends over this little birdie comes out of the toy box at some point and everyone loves it!
When I was at the Toy Fair earlier this year I saw the new generation of Little Live Pets and there’s loads more to come from them. I was particularly fond of the turtles which go in water and they also have a whole host of new birds and other animals. The one Florence has ALWAYS wanted though is one of the butterflies. She has seen them fluttering at various press days and when one of her friend’s got one for her birthday she said again how much she would like one.
So, for Easter (don’t worry, there was some chocolate too), we gave her the Frozen Iceland butterfly from Series 2 of the Little Live Pets!
Aimed at children aged 5+ this one in particular appeals because of the colour and because it has the word ‘Frozen’ in it. It’s nothing to do with the Disney film of course but you know, it still makes it all the more appealing. I love how they are happier the more you play with them and feed them on their flower base which comes with them. They flutter in the palm of your hand and are so realistic!
We think they’re wonderful and this one, with her Frozen colours, is even prettier than most! Florence, who calls it her ‘Elsa Butterfly’ is chuffed to bits both with her new bird and the new Frozen Iceland butterfly. She has wanted a butterfly for so long and is not disappointed at all!
We were sent a Little Live Pet for the purpose of an honest review.
