Great Bean Bags For Summer Garden Fun!

It’s beginning to be sunny and I am desperate to make my garden look presentable for the summer season. Of course, with three boys (yes, I’m including Daddy in this), the grass is looking pretty manky after long winter months of playing rugby and football on it and the space which could be a lovely place to sit is looking rather bleak. We have a good base in terms of the space and foundations like we have great, strong fences (G&G Fencing are worth looking at when looking by the way) but… We just haven’t been able to maintain the grass so it does look a bit of a mess. It’s very boggy where we live and the bane of the village!
The grass is a point of disagreement for Jonny and I. He thinks the garden should be solely for football and I want somewhere to sit in the rays, basking in warmth, watching the children play in small paddling pools while the football is relegated to the park. I think we might eventually have to opt for artificial grass but until then we have to make, do and mend!
I’ve ordered a giant outdoor rug for the worst of it (from Temu, time will tell if that was worth the punt) and am wanting the rest to be brightly coloured and fun. I’ve cleaned up the tiki bar my Father-in-Law made for us in lockdown, bought a disco ball from George at Asda (£6) and for some bright colour pop in at least one area I’ve added a giant Outdoor bean bag!

It’s great because right now its able to cover some ground sins, but it’s also big enough for all four children to play and lie on. It’s also SO comfortable I can’t resist it myself!
The garden will get there – for now the pink giant slab bean bag is giving me joy while I wait for proper grass and an aesthetically pleasing vista rather than the mid dip it is today!

And the best bit about this brilliant bean bag is that it can be indoor, or outdoor in its use! I’m waiting for a balmy summer evening when I can set out projector up and we can all cosy up on this for an outdoor movie! How perfect is that!
