I’m always blogging about what a tiny flat we have and how much ‘STUFF’ we have to fit in it! The thing is, we are a family of four with just as much stuff as any other family of four but we only have two bedrooms… We’re just starting to think about moving as our mortgage agreement is up for renewal and I have finally decided that we HAVE to de-clutter! If we want to sell this flat then the people looking round wanting to buy it will need to be able to move and I think I may just have found a great way of doing it!
Jonny was going to take a load of things to the charity shop but to be honest, some of the things we have are worth money. I simply can’t be bothered to sell them in on-line auctions. I’m far too lazy for that so I have found a website that will buy your old ‘stuff’, come and collect it from you or pay for a FREE courier service and then they pay you via bank transfer, a cheque, in e-Vouchers or they will even make a donation to charity for you – saves a trip to the charity shop if nothing else!
‘Music Magpie’ will buy all sorts of ‘stuff’! You know, the ‘stuff’ everyone has and then give you money for it; what could be easier! Especially in a day and age where loads of this ‘stuff’ is no longer needed! Jonny is a musician and he’s SO into music that he literally has everything on CD. But the thing is, he doesn’t listen to CD’s anymore. Everything is downloaded or whatever it’s called and on MP3 players so the simple CD (and we have hundreds) doesn’t actually need to be held or more importantly ‘stored’ at all! Time to get rid me thinks!
This is just SOME of the CD’s my husband owns… And they take up one WHOLE wall in the children’s bedroom… Time to de-clutter I think!
As soon as he gets home I’m going to show him the really easy to use website and see what he says. They have a simple to use way of seeing what the value of said ‘stuff’ is by you typing in what it is and then they tell you how much it’s worth! Definitely worth a look even if it’s just to see how much money you could make if you do decide to part with some ‘stuff’!
De-Cluttered house here I come – just in time to go and clutter up a new one perhaps! Here’s hoping!
