It’s summer holidays time and that only means one thing! Bring on the fun!
With six whole weeks at home, it is up to us as parents to build entertainment for our little ones! Days out and entertaining children can be super expensive though so as well as the odd trip out to a theme park for a treat we need to do some brilliant things at home too!
We’re taking part in the Asda #SaveSummer challenge! This means that every week of the school holidays we will, as a family, take on a fun task set by Asda and share our antics with you! The good news is that the challenges are all really good value for money, of course, because everything you need comes from Asda!
This time it was a craft challenge, craft and one all about space! We go to a story telling place near our house which currently has ‘space’ as the theme of their exhibition so it’s something we’re really into at the moment and just up our street!
How do you do it?
1. Gather all the materials and anything shiny you find in your cupboards.
2. Get out eight paper plates, one for each planet and get messy to
decorate them!
3. Once your planets have dried you can hang them with about half a
meter of dental floss, which will be strong enough to hold them and make
your solar system smell minty fresh.
Well, we love a bit of craft in our house and paint, glitter and glue are top of our crafty favourites so we knew this one sounded ace for us! We were at my Mum’s in the garden which helped with not having to worry about the mess!
I have not been paid to write this post but I was supplied with the necessary tools to join in with the #SaveSummer challenge set by Asda.
