It’s Not All About The Packaging, But It Helps!

It’s Not All About The Packaging, But It Helps!

When looking at packing products we’ve learned so much over the last few decades. We know we have to be sustainable where possible to protect our environment and as a consumer, choosing products based on their style of packing is important to me. Our carbon footprint dents in almost everything we do from boiling the kettle (buzz word now, thanks Johnson), to taking a shower, going on holiday, stepping inside a car, the food we choose to eat and whole host of everything else so making good choices is paramount.

Although we might not always be able to make the perfect choices, being aware and trying to be mindful where we can is a duty we all need to take. We’ve all been there, ordered something from Amazon and received a box 10 times bigger than what’s inside it but it’s not just that kind of packaging we have to watch out for. Shopping locally, buying small and making decisions based on the actual packaging of a product is easy to do, you just have to know how.

Tyler Packaging are not only a UK born and based business but they are the people who make the packaging for everyone else and with over 40 years experience they know what’s what from sustainability to production. Companies using Tyler have made their choices knowing that they can offer comprehensive films, pre-made bags, pouches and sacks which encompass the most up to date production and materials technology. They offer a quality product for all sorts of industries like pet food packaging and, indeed, for human food as well as building supplies, health and sports products, gardening equipment and more. And, at the forefront of their ethos is sustainability.

Like the rest of us they are only human and none of us can be perfect all of the time but we can all work towards being more so and that’s exactly what they do. With an ideal world goal in mind it’s how they produce their packaging for their clients and they strive for net-zero contamination to their wares. As an example, a truck load of glass containers contains approximately 50% packaging whereas the same product by volume in flexible pouches, made by Tyler Packaging, contains approximately 6% packaging. If a product can be supplied using flexible pouches instead of glass jars then for every truckload of jars, the suppler could deliver eight trucks of pouches, with the resultant large reduction in carbon footprint.

This is a world where small business is not only invited to rise up, but in the currently climate it has to. Making these sustainable choices from the ground up is imperative and that’s exactly why Tyler offer such a fantastic opportunity for their clients. So that we, the consumer, can buy ethically without having to think about it.

How good is that?!

Tyler Packaging are the innovative packaging company who make great choices so that consumers don’t have to do any more than trust the products they purchase. I think we could all learn a lot from this. It’s all very well buying products which are ethical, the sourcing and the production of what’s inside the package is often on the forefront of our minds when buying but looking at what it comes inside is the future!

Collaboration.
