I really like Little Tikes toys. They’re built to last and seem to be timeless in their design. I wrote a piece recently about Jimmy’s push along trike which is a Little Tikes one and in the piece I talked about how we also love their Cosy Coupe. Florence has one and it’s almost identical to the one my brothers had when they were little! The designs don’t change much because they don’t have to!
Little Tikes don’t just make toys for outside and nor do they have to be big either. Their indoor toys are pretty great too and now you can pick them up really affordably in the supermarket! Asda has teamed up with Little Tikes to launch an exclusive and exciting range of toys for pre-school children. The exclusive range will be available on the shelves of the toy aisle and online at Asda and has been specifically designed to keep children entertained whilst nurturing basic development skills. Perfect for self-purchase and gifting at your usual expected Asda reasonable prices! The collection consists of 86 unique and stimulating lines from just £1 to £27.
We were sent the wooden alphabet spinner from the collection and with a price tag of just £8 we’re really rather impressed. I often talk about why I like more traditional looking toys and this one is very traditional in style and is also wooden – a feature I particularly like too. I remember having something similar when I was a child and it’s a great toy for little ones to play with.
For a baby it’s spin-ability and brightly coloured squares will interest then later on it will evoke conversation as to what each picture shows which should lead on to the letters of the alphabet being the beginning letters for each picture. It’s a lovely little toy that can sit on the shelf and look pretty when not in use but can also entertain little ones as young as Jimmy and up to Florence’s age where learning to spell really starts taking shape.
This range, including the toy we have been sent, is exclusive to Asda and definitely worth taking a look at as the toys really are great value for money.
I have not been paid to write this post but I was sent the Little Tikes Wooden Alphabet Spinner for the purpose of review.
