In the olden days people used glass bottles for feeding babies. My friend Carly said her Nan told her that you could always tell the really poor people because they just put a teat on the end of a regular milk bottle!
I guess as with all things retro, glass bottles are making a come back and Mam have brought out a seemingly indestructible version! They’re also safe and highly temperature resistant and with their silk teat promise to be easy to use from breast to bottle from 2 months + (a long way from sticking any old teat on top of an old milk bottle then)!
The new Mam glass bottle!
They certainly look wonderful and feel delightful to hold! Carly has a newborn and has been trying one out for us. She says:
‘The bottles are a nice hark back to the old days. A lovely design and great shaped teat, especially for really little mouths. You’d think think it’d be heavy but its totally not and even my 4 year old daughter can feed him with it. It’s a good point that it heats very quickly but I do have to mention that it also cooled quickly too.’
She also took this rather cute picture of her tiny on as if INSIDE the bottle, apparently it’s called baby mugging, or bottling as it were here!
Baby in a bottle!
