Mothercare have headed back to West London and opened a new store in high fashion hive, White City’s Westfield shopping centre!
The new fashion dedicated store joins the likes of Louis Vuitton and Hugo Boss in the complex so it’s in very good company but for my money it holds its own entirely. I imagine parents of West London are thrilled to have it back and with something for every taste why wouldn’t they be?
What more could you ask for? Bang on for every trend, well made and for me personally, they make clothes which look like clothes little boys and girl’s should be wearing! Have you SEEN the Little Bird range?! Jools Oliver obviously has a very similar taste in children’s clothes to me because I would have my children in the entire range -and do! The Mothercare store clothes are also very similar and then of course if you prefer something a little different then Baby K by Mylene is also a massive seller!
The fact my children still wear retro Mothercare items from my own childhood wardrobe is testament to the fact that their clothes not only last but that they know what they’re doing with fashion and always have! Having a fashion dedicated store is SO apt for them!
This is Florence in two of my very own retro Mothercare numbers!
From today’s opening and till the end of the weekend the Mothercare in the west store is hosting a competition to style an outfit, hang it on their style board, take a picture and share over social media using the hash tag #MyMothercareStyle. It’s worth getting down there cause the prize is a £200 gift card!
What do you think of my styling for outfits for Jimmy and Florence?
I loved the store which also has some fabulous fashion for bumps and of course the all important new Mummy style staple, buggies! I was super pleased to see my favourite Bugaboo at the front of the section standing proudly with a bright blue Buffalo at the head! I do love a Bugaboo, you can’t get more stylish than that now can you? Forget bags and shoes, it’s all about the buggy for me these days!
The biggest fashion statement for a new Mummy is her buggy – Bugaboo would always be my top choice!
The store is fab!
Maternity clothes have to be fashionable and wearable after pregnancy without making it look like you’re just still fat! I LOVE this orange dress and would buy it even though I’m not pregnant, that’s a great mark as far as I’m concerned!
Best section for me is always going to the Little Bird area!
I could have browsed the clothes for at least another 2 hours, I took way longer than all the other bloggers choosing my style board outfits, but unfortunately poor old Jimmy had a poorly tummy. The brand new store (I’m so sorry) took the brunt of it! I have to say a big thank you to all the lovely Mothercare staff who came armed with tissues and a bucket. They were so kind and helpful, not sure I’d be able to do that! so, THANK YOU!
Jimmy in his new sunnies before ‘the incident’!
It’s hard to choose but these are some of my favourite pieces from my style boards today!
I’m going to be doing a little fashion shoot this weekend with some of the truly lovely Little Bird summer range including all the items from my style boards! Did you know they will be taking it to age 8 soon which just makes it even more fabulous!
Love Mothercare, love the new store and especially love Little Bird!
I have not been paid to write this post.
It was lovely to meet you. Hope jimmy us feeling better. Thanks for such a lovely review x
Thanks or making such lovely clothes! It’s easy to say good things when they’re so gorge! Jimmy is a bit projectile now, yesterday was just the start! AND the washing machine is broken! Lucky me! I am doing what any good housewife would do in this situation and decamping to my Mum’s tonight with a car load of washing! New machine on Monday I HOPE otherwise I’m not coming home! 😉
