A Mothercare & Little Bird Sneaky Peek For SS16!

This afternoon I got a sneaky peek at the upcoming spring/summer offerings from Mothercare. And, more importantly, a first look at their glorious Little Bird By Jools range!

Every season Jools Oliver’s designs leave me in a tizzy wondering which items to buy (most) and which items I reluctantly have to leave so that my purse strings don’t entirely disappear!

First up I’m going to show you my fave pieces for Spring/Summer 2016 from Little Bird, because, well, I just can’t wait! And then to finish this piece off I simply must let you see some of the other fabulousness going on at Mothercare next year! A buggy which fits in a bag and pops open, a whole load of gorgeous Beatrix Potter items to mark what would have been her 150th birthday and a couple of other pieces I just couldn’t keep to myself!

So, go for it, take the sneaky peek into the future of Mothercare right here!

Love the style of this blouse. One of the new signature patterns is this patchwork effect and I LOVE it!

Another stapke throught the collection for next year is the cherry stamp! This delicious pointelle top is fabulous!

The rainbow, a staple for Little Bird since it began, is back with force again for next season and this sweat shirt is brushed cotton, super soft and frankly, I want one in MY size thank you very much!

The wellies for next year continue to be yellow and continue on with the rainbow brilliance. We still have the blue ones but I think it's time to say Yellow!

There's a lot of yellow in my chosen pieces and I think it's because I just love how it makes the clothes stand out. Jools knows exactly what she's doing and because she knows what works I'm pleased to see that she's brought back boats and a bit of a nautical feel! The little boats were my favourite a few years ago and this new collection has hit the sail on the starboard once again!

This might be my favourite piece of the whole collection! I adore the shape of the LB skirts and in this new patchwork print it's adorable!

Another print running throught the collection is this one. Baby grows and pyjamas look amazing!

The fish on the inside of this jacket are a print that runs throughout the collection too and I big fat heart it!

And another jacket I just couldn't leave out of this post! I want this for the children and I really and truly, like the jumper, want this for myself!

The best of the rest!

And there was much more in the collection too but hey, you can’t put THAT many pictures on a blog post now can you! Especially as I have to mention the other Mothercare fodder which gripped me this afternoon. Take a look at this little lot here.

I actually, for once, found myself drawn to a couple of the Baby K range. It's not usually my penchant but I liked a couple of the dresses and I LOVED these Vans style trainers!

This cap is from the Mothercare own brand range and is super snappy don't you think!

I may not be one to think too much about buggies at the moment, with an older child I thought I wasn't in the market for a new one but... Jimmy never walks anywhere asking to be carried within about half an hour and THIS folds up, slips in a bag (seriously) then pops up into a proper buggy with a basket underneath - perfect! It's small enough to take on the aeroplane IN the cabin, suitable from 6 months and an absolute steal at £129.99! No wonder it's award winning and record breaking already! I WANT one!

Lst but not least I have to mention the Peter Rabbit range to mark £150 years since the birth of Beatrix Potter! We're big Peter fans here and my brother, who had one when he was tiny, bought both my children one when they were born. The collection which has cothes, toys and bedding amongst other things is delightful, utterly so!

Hope you liked my sneak peek into what Mothercare has to offer next year, I really enjoyed going and I’d like to also thank Mothercare for making me this super cool Tote while I was there!

Love my personalised Tote - It's a good day at work when you get gifts for stopping by!

    1. Me too and I love how this range always allows children to look like children and not mini adults! 🙂

    1. I’m with you, not a bad item in the whole collection! Pretty standard with LB! 🙂

    1. That’s so kinf of you to say, thank you. It’s easy to bog about things as lovely as this collection! 🙂

    1. It really is! It all folds up into a shopping bag – blew me away and the price! 🙂

    1. Oh one of mine too but look at the patchwork blouse, that might have to be the winner for me! 🙂

  1. I love the rainbow sweatshirt and the fish cardigan. Would be interesting to see how the XSS stroller compares to the Yoyo too.

There goes my bank balance again…

  2. I adore the Little Bird collection, Tilly won’t let me put her in it she’s too grown up but Cian and Fifi look fabulous in every item I’ve ever had. I love most that a few pieces are even unisex it’s one of the only brands ever where I’ve been able to hand down from Cian to Fifi! x
