Askamum love my blog, ooo-errr how exciting!
Jimmy is definitely a baby who benefits from a bed time routine of a bath followed by a massage. The Organic Babies Body Wash and Shampoo is a lovely one for a new baby in the bath as it contains nothing nasty and lasts for absolutely ages! A tiny amount also goes a very long way indeed! We used it for about 3 months every night on two children before it finally ran out which proves my theory that just because something costs a little more it doesn’t mean it’s actually spending more money in the long run! After Jimmy’s bath I tend to use their soothing Baby Oil as I sing and massage his delicate skin. Again, I am not interested in using anything which has aything but natural products because he’s brand new! His skin is so very delicate and precious and quite frankly only the best will do. Parabens, chemicals etc, they’re just a no go area for me when choosing for my babies! Now this particular oil is one which is marketed as good for eczema and psoriasis, neither of which Jimmy has but he has in the past had a little cradle cap, another skin condition this oil is perfect for!
The instructions say to rub into the scalp and comb free, I didn’t do the combing but did rub in a small amount every evening for a few days and it went as quickly as it came. I continue to use it so I suspect it’s a preventative thing too as it’s not come back. Jimmy just loves to be touched and using gentle oil is a great way to massage him and relax his body before sleep. I appreciate not all babies would be able to relax just from a massage, Florence never could, but even if it doesn’t make them sleepy like it does Jimmy then it’s a nice routine to get into and it teaches them that it’s winding down time. Florence sometimes asks me to massage her after I’ve done Jimmy and I use this oil on both of them. I’ve used it most days since Jimmy was born and I’d say only half the bottle has gone which is amazing as he’s 5 months old now! I use other things too but a good couple of pumps of this daily and only half way through the bottle is pretty good value! It doesn’t have a scent but it feels lovely on his skin, absorbs into it and doesn’t leave it feeling greasy. The fact that it’s all 100% natural good stuff is the reason it’s so good, believe me, the rubbish stuff just sits on top of the skin and what good is that? A lovely oil to use after a really pleasant bath wash!
An Organic Babies Hamper which contains both products I’ve talked about and more. This would make a lovely present!
