On Saturday we went into Central London to visit the people from Now TV and Nickelodeon at The Ham Yard Hotel in Soho. Nick and Nick Jr is joining NOW TV this summer and in celebration they (and Sponge Bob) hosted a bowling party at the super cool private bowling alley of the hotel!
Us arriving!
Lucky old us because not only did we get to bowl, craft, have pampering sessions and chill out watching NOW TV on bean bags but we also got to do it all with friends. My lovely pal Emily from Family Four Fun was there with her brood and Katy from Modern Mummy along with Carolynne from Mummy Endeavors made up a lovely group of friends to enjoy the party with!
The children had fun having their faces, arms and nails painted, crafting, watching Peppa Pig (mainly) on NOW TV and of course they LOVED the bowling!
We also had a bit of a giggle in the photo booth!
It was an ace morning and ended with us getting to take home a NOW TV box to try for ourselves. You buy the box for £9.99 and it acts like any other digi box except this one can be used to catch up TV with BBC iPlayer, 4OD and ITV Player. You can also download Facebook and Spotify apps. It essentially turns your TV into a Smart TV for under a tenner. It is also small and compact which is a bit of a bonus but on top of all that it also affords you the chance to stream Sky channels for small charges. You can choose different entertainment packs and even opt in for just a month or day passes.
So now you can have movies, Disney, sport… And of course Nickelodeon and Nick Jr amongst many other channels! We’re very impressed with just the box on its own but the packages are very affordable without too much commitment so it’s ideal really!
After the party and with our new NOW TV boxes under our arms, Carolynne, Katy and I headed to the Southbank with our charges. It was hot and sunny and we wanted to spend the rest of the day running in and out of the fountains and playing on the Southbank beach. We did just that!
Fun on the Southbank!
These two blogger friends of mine are absolutely awesome and I love spending time with them. Meeting Carolynne at an event last year was a stroke of luck as she is brilliant. Funnily enough we went to the same school at the same time but were in different years. We know lots of the same people and share similar memories. It’s funny to think we must have been in the same building day after day for so long all those years ago but we never met, especially as our school was really very small! I’m super glad we’ve met now and of course I adore Katy!
We had the most lovely day which we finished off at home with a BBQ and a bit too much Gin and Tonic for me! I still feel a bit sore of head two days on which just goes to show I’m getting old I think!
We were invited to a party to celebrate Nickelodeon and Nick Jr joining NOW TV.
