Olly The Little White Van Book Collection!

My boy very fast became a fan of Olly The Little White Van when we reviewed the new DVD. Jimmy is a fan of most wheeled things and when he gets to have the TV free of Princesses he would choose nothing but car, train and any other type of vehicle shows to watch!

He’s become really fond of Olly and his helpful little ways and I think the show has a really great message to help other people!

I knew he would be just as keen on the books as he is the show and we were lucky enough to be given the opportunity of reviewing them this week.

The Olly The Little White Van book collection is aimed at pre-schoolers just like the hit show and there are three different types of book on offer.

The chunky board story books!

These books are aimed at age 1+ and are really lovely to hold for little hands. At £3.99 they are very good value and they can be read in a number of ways. The story isn’t unsubstantial which pleases an older one but if you have a younger baby then the pictures are bright, engaging and also tell the story visually.

The story books!

These again are £3.99 and with this style a little bit more designed for an older toddler. Thinner paper and more words make this the perfect length for a bed time story but again they follow the typical ‘Olly’ story lines and have very visual pictures. I think Jimmy is a little young to handle these books as he likes to tear pages but he certainly enjoys the stories!

The press out sticker and activity fun (£4.99) and sticker and colouring fun (£3.99) books!

These are the most complex of the collection and definitely more suited to an older pre-schooler like Florence. She really enjoyed all the things to make, pop out, colour and play. I’m sure Jimmy would love the stickers too but Florence could understand how to play the game and what to do with the tasks. She didn’t mind one bit that they didn’t have Princesses in them!

The collection is lovely and has a really great variety so that you can find the books most suited to you. Florence really enjoyed them all actually and Jimmy was completely transfixed by the chunky board books!

Great stories with a great moral and really lovely pictures! For such an inexpensive price these are excellent value for money. The chunky board books will last ages, they are well made and sturdy while the activity books are packed to the rafters with things to do!
