I’ve been to The Baby Show a number of times now and in a number of capacities. I’ve been as a customer (well I’m always that but I mean JUST as a customer), as a VIP Baby Show Blogger, a case study with the Red Cross for the main stage and with various different companies as something to do with my blog. The children always have fun when we go, they love playing in the creche and seeing all that’s […]
It’s become quite popular for supermarkets to offer special meal deals for their finest food which has already been prepared for you. Tesco do a brilliant one which costs a tenner when its just a normal day which I think is pretty good value! I’m no cook so that seems like a perfectly reasonable idea to me! If you buy ingredients to make the dishes offered then you’d end up spending way more than a tenner! You usually get a […]
I’m sure I’m not in the minority of parents to four year old girls who are utterly obsessed with Disney Princesses. Stereotypical it may be but Florence simply can’t get enough of them and given the chance would happily spend every single day, no matter what we are doing, wearing one of her Disney Princess costumes. She has the Rapunzel, Sophia The First, Cinderella, Snow White and Belle dresses (it was a Disney Princess Christmas and birthday recently for us) […]
I live in East London. Essex is on my doorstep… There are an awful lot of WHITE teeth in this neck of the woods! If I’m honest I think it looks a bit ridiculous when someone smiles at you through brilliant white teeth and just, well, not natural really! That doesn’t mean I want yellow teeth or anything, definitely not! I’d like whiter teeth just not ridiculous ones! I wouldn’t go and have them painted for example and I definitely […]
When Florence was born we had the Philips Avent Microwave Steam Steriliser and I used their manual breast pump daily too; despite her never ever taking any expressed milk! When Jimmy was born I again used Avent products and this time got to try out their new style manual pump (which was my favourite of all the pumps I used) and also the electric steriliser which I have only just put away recently! Jimmy had Avent dummies (when he sucked […]
I have been looking at girl’s magazines a lot recently. Florence is really rather keen in general and we often have to spend a good deal of time browsing them in the supermarket – whether we’re buying or not! The people at ‘Love From…’, the LaLaLoopsy Magazine, sent us this month’s copy to review and Florence was thrilled to bits when she saw it. Florence couldn’t wait to get stuck in to ‘Love From…’, the Lalaloopsy magazine! This issue is […]
We last went to BeWILDerwood during Halloween half term and we loved it. It wasn’t our first visit of course, we’ve been lucky enough to have a number of fab days out in the outdoor adventure park which sees children swing through trees on zip-wires, embrace the magical world of Twiggles and Boggles and whoosh down amazing slides but the thing we always say on the way home is ‘When shall we go again?’ Some highlights from our last visit! […]
I don’t see the point to car alarms?! Nobody pays any attention to them, they go off if the slightest gust of wind throws a leaf on the windscreen and they are thoroughly annoying! Take last Saturday night for example. I was out the front of my house and just down the road there was a damned car alarm going off. I tutted and thought to myself ‘is anyone going to actually turn that thing off?’ It simply didn’t occur […]
It’s all hearts and flowers in the shops at the moment and while the cynic in me says Valentines Day is all a retailer’s gimmick, the softy in me adores celebrating this day! One year I made Jonny a Valentines treasure hunt all around the gated flat we were living in and had him running round outside in front of our neighbours to find the next clue! I do love to turn his cheeks red! But it can all get […]
Blossom, the magazine just for little girls, has launched an exciting new competition for all budding young authors! In association with World Book Day the competition is to inspire all little writers to put pen to paper and create their very own story! The winner will have their work published in the magazine having been illustrated by the Blossom artist. On top of this the prize will include a visit to their school or nursery by the hugely successful Princess […]
