Off To Bed With Polarn O. Pyret!

I love clothes. Not just for me but for my children too and I have always been very, very selective about what they wear. Take a look at any of my fashion posts and you will see I have clear and strong favourite syles and brands when it comes to my children’s clobber and I do not compromise at all.

You might think then that I spend lots of money on clothing all the time but just because something is pricey doesn’t make it wonderful and by the same token, if something is very inexpensive, it absolutely doesn’t necessarily mean it isn’t worth wearing! I am NOT a label whore but I do like what I like and what I like is the best – whatever the price tag!

One brand which has been a favourite (ever since I was bought a baby vest by my work colleagues before I left to have Florence) is Polarn O.Pyret. I have written about that little vest on the blog before and even though Jimmy has now grown out of it, it has been washed a hundred times and both my children wore it loads, it’s still in mint condition and is being saved for perhaps another need of use some day!

That’s what I love about P O.P, the longevity of an item. My children seem to fit in their clothes for ages as the cuffs roll up and the waist bands expand on lots of the items and even when washed a hundred times they look good! We have a pair of pyjamas which were handed down to us when Jimmy was tiny. They are age 2-4 months and he is STILL wearing them at age 2 Years and 4 months! Am I particularly great at washing clothes, getting stains out and keeping them bobble free? Well, judging by the rest of the things I wash I’d have to answer no. P O.P obviously have it covered in the making and the material and this is why, even though they are a little pricey, I will always go to Polarn O. Pyret for quality as well as style. Oh and the style! Well! It is fabulous…

We love their staples; the stripes and animal patterns with rolled cuffs and the moccasin slippers are probably the best baby slipper on the market – and SO cute! We also love the wet weather gear, matching separates and the socks and tights are brilliant. Gorgeous, gorgeous clothing!

And now, even though Jimmy still fits in the small pyjamas, we have been road testing some of their latest bed time wear in bigger sizes. Wonder how old he’ll be when he grown out of these ones?! They are age 2-4 years so by his rate probably QUITE some time!

Jimmy has been wearing the Planet Print Kids Pyjama set in blue, £23. Florence has been wearing the Planet Print All-In-One Pyjamas in pink, £20.

The pyjamas are typically, for P O.P, beautiful, full of colours and with an interesting pattern. I have washed them a few times already and no difference can be found in the quality of the soft material. The material can even withstand very hot washes to get rid of germs!

As well as the colurs and patterns I like the fact that Florence’s all-in-one has a zip which makes it easy for her to get on and off herself. Onesies are not really for children who take themselves to the toilet when they don’t have a zip! I also like the cuffs which roll up for when they are little and down as they grow. Florence and Jimmy have two years between them but both of their pyjamas are for ages 2-4 years!

Love these pyjamas!

My one flaw with the style of Jimmy’s bottoms is that they have a draw string to tighten the belt rather than waist ties with buttons. He inevitably undid his and of course… The draw string disappeared down one side so I will have to get a knitting needle and find it again! Still, one flaw in otherwise perfect pyjamas!

We were sent the pyjamas for the purpose of an honest review.
