My Mum literally cannot go to Sainsbury’s without buying some clothes for the children. It seems to be her weakness and when they have their special 25% off promotions she buys even more!
I think we’ve just always found the clothes to be of excellent quality and because they wash really well, last a long time and don’t break the bank at the same time as being really rather lovely, it kind of means she always knows what she buys will be a hit!
I LOVE the fact that they sell packs of T Shirts for such a little amount of money! Florence has a gorgeous set which cost £9 for FOUR and the material is soft and thick to boot! The the school uniform is pretty decent too! 3 polo shirts at £1 each means I don’t have to ever admit to not being particularly great at getting stains out – when they get too discoloured I just buy a new pack and use the old for dusting (who am I kidding, I don’t dust but it’s a good idea right?!)
They also do pretty lovely fancy dress, my Mum bought them both Sainsbury’s dressing up for Easter and Florence was thrilled with her ‘Goldilocks and the Three Bears’ dress while Jimmy thought his ‘Gruffalo’s Child’ outfit with a removable tail was wonderful!
Sainsbury’s fancy dress!
And that brings me to the fact that one of Jimmy’s favourite things to wear in the whole world came from the Sainsbury’s Tu range for children! His Gruffalo hat! My best friend gave it to him for Christmas then he wore it all winter and cuddled it to go to sleep! He still wants to wear it now even though the weather has warmed up!
Jimmy in his Gruffalo hat (and a coat from Sainsbury’s too – which is super warm and washes and dries in about 2 hours, perfect)!
When I went to see what Sainsbury’s had to offer for summer I was of course drawn to the children’s wear and lucky old us because they’ve sent us some to try out now that the sun has made an appearance along with some summer fun goodies perfect for a day at the beach. We love it! What do you think?
Some of the clothes!
Sun Hat (from £5.50) and T. Shirt (£9 – Pack of FOUR)!
Sun Hat (from £4.50) and T. Shirt (£7 – Pack of THREE)!
Swimming Costume (£7.50)!
Dinosaur Swimming Trunks (£6.50)!
Picnic fun!
More T. Shirts from the packs!
Golf fun using the Sainsbury’s Golf Caddy (£5)!
Sunglasses (£3.50 each)!
Even look good upside down!
Game of Sainsbury’s Sticky Ball (£3) anyone?
Safari Shirt (£6), Jeans (£4.50) and Dress (£14)! Sainsbury’s Bubble Wands (£3)!
I like all the clothes but what I especially like about this outfit is that the denim jeans roll up and fasten with a button, meaning they can last longer!
This dress is just gorgeous with a netting petticoat making it look and feel super special! It would work for an occasion like a wedding but I think you’ll agree looks equally as lovely for a day at the beach!
I have to just point out the fact that when Florence’s new swimming costume had been used she wanted to change into a dry one. This one is also from Sainsbury’s last year, has been on four holidays and in our local pool very regularly. Not only does it still fit but it looks good despite much use and has faded very little!
We love the summer collection from Sainsbury’s… Fun, floral, contemporary without being too grown up and pretty and cool all together! Who wouldn’t want to be in ‘Tu‘ this summer?! Now just to go and supplement my own wardrobe for this season… Something I proudly say I do often at Sainsbury’s – there’s no stigma to clothes shopping at the supermarket these days, no wonder when they look this good!
We were sent the summer items in the post for the purpose of this feature.
I agree about the quality of tu clothing. We love it too, great summer range and adorable photos x
Thanks Kelly. x
I love Jimmy’s safari shirt, I keep meaning to pop into Sainsburys but may have to do it now!
Thanks Bex, it is gorge! By the way, go now as they have 25% off! x
Looks like they’ve got some lovely outfits again this year, I’ll have to take a look next time I do the shopping 🙂
Lovely clothes and adorable children, particular like the safari shirt and the strawberry t shirt x
