I understand why brands invite journalists and bloggers to see their upcoming collections so far in advance but I still find it really odd actually seeing it! In July for example we were out most days seeing Christmassy things! It’s super fun but totally strange all the same to walk into a hotel from the scorching heat outside and be faced with tinsel and Christmas nibbles! It really makes you feel a bit unbalanced but we loved it and fully embraced it! One of our fave days was getting to see what Tesco had planned for Christmas 2013! We didn’t write about it until October (to be a bit more topical) but we got to preview everything that is in the shops right now well in advance and we felt very special to have been invited to do that!
And now that it IS actually a bit more like Christmas time Tesco invited us back to have a look at some of their Spring/Summer Home and Garden range for 2014! This time it was leaving freezing London streets to walk into a summer’s day in the garden. Most surreal but super fun!
What we noticed, or rather Florence noticed, is that there is a lot of pink in the collection for next year. being a pink fan this pleased Florence no end! All different shades and all different products but pretty, pink and sparkly seemed to be the over riding theme and we thought it looked fabulous! In fact, I couldn’t believe that we were in Tesco and not a high end department store so classy were the gorgeous cushions, pictures, bake wear, seating, lighting…
Florence was in her pink element and particularly liked the sun umbrella and sparkly cushions!
There was more to it than pink of course and Jimmy rather liked the outdoor section for children! Gorgeous bean bag chairs and little tools were two of the things we thought would probably be big hits next year and a retro lunch box which you can put your name on made us smile at the thought of sunny picnic lunches!
Cute and retro Children’s outdoor range!
Then of course there was the outdoor table and chairs that I fell in love with. We don’t have a garden yet but when we do I will be having something beautiful, classic and tasteful like this!
I have ideas about when we have a garden and this table and chairs would be perfect on a balmy summer evening with friends, some anti pasti and a great bottle of wine!
So… In July we were looking at Christmas and in November we are looking ahead to summer! It looks pink, retro and gorgeous at Tesco!
I have not been paid to write this post.
I love the children’s retro range, very surprised it is from Tesco 🙂
