Spring Shopping Haul At JD Williams!
I think spring is one of the trickiest times of the year for fashion – well, it is in the UK at any rate! A day can start out weather wise requiring black tights and boots but by lunch be high sunshine and in need of a summer dress. It’s hard to transition from winter to spring with clothing for this very reason so I like to keep things simple with layering and light weight fabrics mixed with sweat shirts that can be tied around the waist if the weather is glorious or worn to stave off a chill. I like to be casual and a bit carefree nodding to good weather coming and I like pieces which can take me on a night out as much as they could do me the school run!
I’ve had a little bit of a spring haul with JD Williams and actually have chosen some really clever pieces I think! Sweatshirts that I can see taking me into summer on the beach for blustery afternoons and then still worn in the winter with jeans yet now, with light weight tapered trousers they will suit the mood for Easter and beyond. I chose classic pieces like this vintage style Levi jumper and I’m in LOVE! Also… The price of it at J D Williams is only £50 – what a bargain!
I also picked up a leopard print star sweatshirt (£22) and think it will go with everything! I wore it the other day with JD Williams side piped stretch jersey trousers (£24) and my new absolute fave trainers – lilac (YES LILAC) Reebok Royal Glides (£55) – They are SO gorgeous, I can’t stop stroking them!
You could easily wear the black trousers with a pair of heels for the evening which is why I ordered a second similar styled pair but in animal print – This pair is labelled ‘animal print tapered harem trousers (£22) on the J D Williams website and they are in the petite range. They’re SUPER comfy but look great with my new Iris Espadrille Wedge Court shoes (£25) for glamming up in the evening. I’ve been wearing them like this with a fashion blazer from the J D Williams Essential range (£25) but will obviously wear them with flats and a vest on summery days too!
I love buying new clothes – and can’t wait for some proper spring weather so that I can get my groove on in these. I think from the whole haul my fave item has to be the Levi crew neck sweater – just love everything about it from the soft thin feel to the fabric to the way it sits on the shoulder
Oh but I do love those trainers though… Tough call, I’m going with them both as a joint fave!
