Summer Holidays 2023 – Week 4!
The weeks are just rolling on by as if it’s not totally obscene that we are over half way through the holidays and they are perfectly valid in going so fast. I’m fuming! Ha ha. I love nothing more than all my children being at home with me and the thought that there are only two weeks left is making me a little anxious. Realistically, were this the Christmas break we’d still have it all to come, so I shouldn’t feel like it’s nearly over but I can’t help myself. I don’t want it to disappear and be September yet. I’ll just bury my head in the sand and pretend it isn’t then!
This week, recovering from camping which is jolly hard work though utterly fabulous all at the same time, we have been slowly living trying not to spend any money. We had friends up from London overnight, my friend Lucy brought her daughter and two others of Florence’s girls from Leytonstone, and spent the day on the beach at Cromer (to assist the head in the sand part of my feelings) before coming home and letting them just chill and hang out. We went swimming with them too and Jimmy had a sleep over with his cousin before having his besties over for a camp out in the garden where they cooked sausages and stayed up all hours followed by another day on the beach!
We also had a day out with my bestie and her family to pensthorpe which was as glorious as ever and then it was more sleepover times for Florence (I’m so glad she’s seeing so many of her friends) and Jonny and Raffie had their very own camp out in the garden too! The weekend was all about just chilling and celebrating our niece’s birthday! So… Not that slow I guess!
